Hi Guys, Im having some issues with the hatchery mod. To breed other kinds of chicken i need nether quartz chickens. According to the manual of the mod, and a load of YT tutorials they should spawn in the nether. Either on fortresses or otherwise large cobble platforms. I have tried it all and not one chicken is to be found, i think there is some kind of bug that (biome settings or whatever) that prevents them from spawning. Is there any way you could help me out obtain one of those chickens ? Thanks, Smiechter
I have noticed that the nether chickens can be quite tricky to obtain. I was able to do so by killing mobs in a nether fortress and then waiting a few minutes flying in the air. They did spawn and it took about 5 minutes all together. My location is x 75 y 69 z-20. Both types of nether chickens have spawned here. Since I can get them to spawn relatively quick, I am going to close this ticket. Please let us know if you have any other problems.
