    this is why in the other thread i said why not just start a thread,
    Its not a big deal if "randoms" post

    I see your point but with conversations it is extremely easy to invite people and has a cleaner GUI for this purpose than just tagging them.

    this is why you "watch" a thread, then you get an alert when a person posts in it.
    You know you want to lick that like button....
    i mean lick that potato

    you get alerts ik BUT convos have a better GUI for adding/inviting people and also I dont believe in forum flooding, if everybody made 1 thread as an equivilent to a conversation think of all the threads clogging up space in the forums it would make it much harder to find things that arent peoples public private conversations
