Am I the only one having this trouble?
I know I am an idiot but this morning everything was just fine.
I own my copy of Minecraft, I have premium status on MYM and there's plenty of ram. When I got home and tried to load up using the curse launcher. Nothing happened. Then a Minecraft launcher came out of nowhere and than would not load up. I had to re-register on MYM as if they never knew me but the Minecraft launcher continues to intrude.
Sir Will was kind enough to send me a link to activate the multiplayer of my account. I made sure I was logged in but could not figure out where the activation was.
I have put a ton of effort on my empire.. Should I go back to FTB?
    Respecfully Lark

I'm sorry. I do not really understand what the key issue is.

    Thank you for responding...

The key issue is that I can't get on to play my game..

I have never seen the Mincraft launcher on Curse before and it will not let me pass and it keeps crashing. I have been to Mojang and my credentials are fine.

Did you try our custom launcher yet? (Can be found on the home-page)

    Thx again for your help.

I have been using the Curse since it started. I used it this morning and it was fine.
However when I logged on this afternoon, I got the Minecraft launcher and couldn't get past it.
I've just re-installed the curse Launcher and same results..
I have just uninstalled Minecraft and the Minecraft launcher still popps up.

Lordicon, thank you... You guys are as much fun as a phone tree.
As illustrated by the screen capture above. I have been using the Curse launcher right along and just re-installed it.
If no one else has this problem then I suppose it is me or my machine.
I have been on the game constantly and have resisted installing any mods to insure stablillity. Without blowing me off, what is your honest opinion?

We have given you our advice and honest opinion and that is to use our MyM launcher and try to connect with that. If you are still having issues with the curse launcher you will need to contact curse as this is their software that is causing you this issue and we do not provide support for someone else's software.

Again please try using the MyM Launcher and see if it resolves your issue.

Again, I open with with the MYM launcher! and then immediately after the Minecraft launcher pops up in front not allowing me to go forward. I have done nothing differently and have played the same for 6 months.

If I am the only one experiencing this, then it must be my machine and I will try other remedies.

    Thank you.

    Thank you SirWill,
There is a screen shot several posts back.
Since no one else seems to have it, It must be me. Perhaps it was an unwise visit to 8chan that did it?
I will re-install windows and start from scratch.
You guys have been very kind, thx

That's decidedly odd, I've used both launchers for awhile and I don't recall ever seeing that screen before. Do you have your credentials saved in the curse launcher? Sometimes when I use the MyM launcher and switch to curse for something else I have to put in my email and password too, wonder if that is what is going on.

    That is actually pretty easy:

Whenever you log in to minecraft, the launcher will contact mojang to start a session. Mojang then returns a session key that will remain valid for a while. Only a game started with a valid session key can connect to an online-mode server. Since the launchers do not communicate between each other, each will need a new session key when starting, and that invalidates the old one.

Now, some launchers (like the mym one I think) actually store your usename and password, so when you start a game it will automatically obtain a session key. The regular minecraft launcher only stores the session key, so when that expires, you need to re-enter your credentials.

Bottom line is you are using the Curse launcher and Slind and myself both already suggested trying with the MyM launcher. If you do not understand great english you are more than welcome to speak in your native language to get the problem resolved.

The one think I didn't think of was dragging the Minecrafter launcher to the trash but I doubt if that would work..
Anyway, You guys have been very considerate

I did a system restore and the problem is gone.

Seems like you have sorted this problem out yourself. Marking as done.
