Done mym portals not forming

portal used to work (got me to the Nether and the End) now it has just ceased working. I can click the end or the nether icon in the pop-up inventory, just no portal forms. I tried breaking and reforming it with the same result.

 

build it in the farmworld and there it worked. so I have a work around.

 

can't affect the overworld outside my claim in sevtech. I can only build inside my claim.
[doublepost=1540281184,1540280230][/doublepost]I moved my claim a little, now it's working. I had my portal right on the border, maybe the protection of the blocks right outside my claim were blocking the redstone signal.
