Good Evening mymions. Recently, we patched the thermal expansion ore access on Agrarian. What does this mean for me: Well it means any sifted ore sands will no longer work in a Pulverizer. Any vanilla blocks still do but you will need to use a hammer to break stuff down to its "ore Dust" form. You can still however put the ore dust in a furnace or red stone furnace instead of the smeltery. Regards, Auonddon
I noticed a problem after this update. Tin ingots (tried both versions) will not yield pulverized tin in a pulverizer. It does not work. I don't know why but i would guess it has to do with this update.
The problem was simply a horrible inefficiency on reverse lookups (eg. ItemStack->Ore name). To fix that, you would either need to change the oredictionary class from minecraftforge or the ItemHelper class from CoFH core. Unfortunately, the CoFH devs are just ignoring the problem even though we point out what they would need to change in detail, they actually quit the conversation if someone just mentions the topic.
From that' I'd say that it should be fixed in ore dictionary because any other mod may be doing the same that TE does. What was changed so that it broke things like pulverizing ingots?
The current "Fix" is just a removal of all problematic method calls. Modifying the OreDictionary class is probably impossible, as it is part of minecraftforge itself.
