    Hey MYMers

It's been a while since I've played and I know I kind of fell off the face of the earth, but i think it's about time for me to get back into Minecraft. I used to play on Monster... which is now gone lolz. What pack should I lean into?

Also my Tier is still retained after all this time right?

@SirWill & @Slind Sorry I didn't give a heads up when I left. Should've probably resigned from my MOD position properly.

In expert mode you need to progress about half way into nearly every mod in order to reach endgame in any mod..
Basically most of the recipes are changed to be much harder and requires stuff from multiple mods to craft.

E.g. to make a simple bucket you need 3 iron plates from ic2, which means you need to first make a hammer, which in turn requires treated sticks from Railcraft, which requires either creosote from a blast furnace or refined ash from double smelting saplings :D

    Also, welcome back!

refined ash recipe was disabled with last update, so creosote all the way ;)
another example: machine frames (from Thermal Expansion, to craft any TE machine) require quite a bit of RF and 5 items from 5 different mods in a BC assembly table :D
it's quite a challenge, and can go quite slow (especially if you're like me and you want to build a base that goes from bedrock to build height :p)
but the time you spend on it is really rewarding :D

Day one I made portal to the last millenium and then build out a 3x3 chunk platform in the middle of the void.. then just started setting up machines and mob grinders and whatever else on it where ever it would fit ;)

Yeah... Since I switched jobs, no more playing at my desk lol.

I guess I'm gonna switch to the easier one... might also drop a noob into infinity as his first minecraft experience... or is that too harsh :D?

Which node should i pick? Which has less traffic?

ferret buisness is an exellent pack, the quest system is more of a "shop" system with a loyalty program, and the mod list is pretty balanced between magic and science, its a wonderful first time 1.7+ experience :3
