It surprised me to hear that not many people know of TabbyChat. What it basically is is a mod that helps make minecraft chat better. I won't go into detail as others have already done. Besides, this is an installation guide. It is as simple as downloading the right files and dropping em into the mods folder. I'm only listing 1.7.10 and 1.10.2 downloads since the only servers I see that are quite popular are these. 1.7.10: Dropbox - TabbyChat-1.7.10-1.11.2.2-fml.jar 1.10.2: mod-tabbychat-2-2.1.2-mc1.10.2.litemod - TabbyChat 2 - Miscellaneous - Minecraft Mods - Curse lib-mnmutils-1.2.3-mc1.10.2.litemod - MnmUtils - API and Library - Minecraft Mods - Curse You'll need both files for 1.10.2
1.10.2 also needs LiteLoader from liteloader - lightweight mod loader for minecraft also you have to disable chatflow for modpacks like beyond...
