probably if you have a normal 7.2k or 10k hdd, not sure if it would do much if you have it on a ssd already. Well if you do test it, I would love to hear how much it helped.
i just did, " RAMDisk is a program that takes a portion of your system memory and uses it as a disk drive. The more RAM your computer has, the larger theRAMDisk you can create." why would you do that if you have a pretty large HDD or SSD?
RAM drive - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia your hdd is a huge truck with a huge turning circle and super slow and the ram disk is a super sports car
"Because the storage is in RAM, it is volatile memory, which means it will be lost in the event of power loss, whether intentional (computer reboot or shutdown) or accidental (power failure or system crash). This is, in general, a weakness (the data must periodically be backed up to a persistent-storage medium to avoid loss), but is sometimes desirable: for example, when working with a decrypted copy of an encrypted file." i don't see any benefits if something like that happens .-. i perfer to not be required to save my stuff to another spot every 5 minutes to make sure i don't lose it, but thats just me
