Dealing with Personal Data

Personal data is information with the help of which a person can be determined, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, the email address or the telephone number. But also data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites were viewed by someone else are considered personal data. You can use our online offer without disclosing your identity. If you decide to register, i.e. log in as a member (registered user), you can store personal information in your individual user profile. It is subject to the free decision whether these data are entered. Since the aim is to collect as little personal data as possible for the use of the offer, it is sufficient for a registration to enter a name - under which one is listed as a member and which does not have to match the real name - and the e-mail address to which the confirmation mail is sent. In connection with the access to our pages, server-side data such as the name of the accessed website, file, date and time of access, transferred data volume, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider are accessed. The provider uses the protocol data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the offer. However, the provider reserves the right to check the protocol data subsequently if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete evidence. Personal data will only be collected, used and passed on by the provider if this is legally permitted or if the users agree to the collection of data.

Registration

The mandatory data requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise we will refuse the registration. In the following we will inform you about our use of transactional messages by e-mail and push notifications within the scope of our offer as well as your rights of objection. With your registration you agree to receive and follow the written procedure.

Content: We send transactional messages about important events such as "new private message in your inbox", "new reply to one of your subscribed topics", "when mentioned" and summaries of events during your absence.

Control: You can customize the sending of transactional messages at any time under "Settings" -> "Notifications". In addition, each transactional e-mail contains a link to these settings and to unsubscribe in the footer.

Cancellation: You can cancel the receipt of our transactional emails at any time. You will find a cancellation link at the end of each e-mail.

Use of Cookies

All functions of the website can also be used without cookies, but some user-defined properties and settings are then not available.

Contributions

The contributions on our site are accessible to everyone. Contributions should be carefully checked before publication to see if they contain information that is not intended for the public. If users leave contributions in the forum, their IP addresses are stored. This is done for the security of the provider, if someone writes illegal content in comments and contributions (insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.). In this case the provider can be prosecuted for the comment or contribution and is therefore interested in the identity of the author.

Right of Revocation

If you have provided us with personal data, you can change and delete them at any time in the user profile. A complete deletion of the account, they can make in the user account. Up to this time contributions and topics taken place up to this time remain however under circumstances.

Re-/Marketing-Services

On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) the marketing and remarketing services of the following companies (table).

The marketing services allow us to display advertisements for and on our website in a more targeted manner in order to present users only with advertisements that potentially correspond to their interests. If, for example, a user is shown ads for products in which he or she has shown interest on other websites, this is referred to as "remarketing". For these purposes, when a user accesses our and other websites where the Marketing Service is active, code from the Marketing Service is executed directly by the Marketing Service and so-called (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as "web beacons") are incorporated into the website. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file is stored on the user's device (instead of cookies, comparable technologies can also be used). The cookies can be set by various domains, including google.com, doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com, admeld.com, googlesyndication.com, googleadservices.com and adnxs.com. This file records which websites the user has visited, what content he is interested in and which offers he has clicked on, as well as technical information on the browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting time and other information on the use of the online offer. The IP address of the user is also recorded and saved in abbreviated form. If the user subsequently visits other websites, advertisements tailored to his interests can be displayed.

User data is processed pseudonymously within the framework of the marketing service. This means that the marketing service does not store and process, for example, the name or e-mail address of the user, but processes the relevant data cookie-related within pseudonymous user profiles. This means that from the point of view of the marketing services, the advertisements are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who this cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted a marketing service to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected by marketing services about users is transmitted to the marketing service and stored on their servers.

The marketing services we use include the online advertising program "Google AdWords". In the case of Google AdWords, each AdWords customer receives a different "conversion cookie". Cookies can therefore not be tracked on the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted-in to conversion tracking. AdWords customers are told the total number of users who have clicked on their ad and been redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

We may include third-party ads based on the marketing service used. Marketing Service uses cookies to enable the Marketing Service and its partner websites to serve ads based on users' visits to this website or other websites on the Internet.

We may also use the "Google Tag Manager" to integrate and administer the Google analysis and marketing services into our website.
