As you see, I'm using agricraft's irrigation channels, sprinkler, and a single water tank no more than 4 blocks above the crops. This not only keeps the ground below hydrated, but also adds a growth accelerator effect, too!
I forgot to mention that the single sprinkler will only work in a 7x7 area or about 3 blocks out from center in all directions. The areas that don't have wheat growing are areas not affected by the sprinkler, but they are watered by the source block I have hidden in the center, directly below the sprinkler.
