So... any news whether this 'rollback' will be fixed? I mean a couple of my friends lost virtually everything they owned. My friend kept his things in his specter dimension, which was also rolled back for some reason. Furthermore, why was no one notified? If we had known ahead of time that our player-data was to be rolled back, we could have stored our items in chests, which were, NOT rolled back.

 

I do get what your saying, but we joined last night and the server automatically crashed. Im interested in how were supposed to store items if nobody can get on. I do understand, I for one lost two weeks of data, which involved multiple bases, spawners, infusions and more.

 

Bases were not rolled back afaik. But if they rolled back the server to deal with the Thaumcraft issue, which is how it was explained to me, they could have done something beforehand.

I usually try not to complain about these things too much, but it's hard to get motivated to play when you lose so much. I mean, I lost full Terrasteel armor, with nearly all the helmet upgrades, and all of the relics. And all my heart canisters, etc. It's pretty frustrating.

 

Bases where rolled back as well, looks like about a week or atleast my base.

To all my customers and current projects, i am sorry but everything is on hold till i get my base fixed, prolly 3-4 days

 

Alright fair enough. To my knowledge I don't even currently have a base, because we did massive renovations and ugh..

Arca, that may just be because you moved, but your player data things your spawn is somewhere else.

 

No no no. It's a long story involving last night, not all being there, logging on, getting kicked, dying, respawning, and then when we rolled back, BEING moved into a base I haven't visited in two weeks.

Its not only payer data with a roll back the entire world save was from last week

 

I'm thinking that I'm in the same boat. I had every armor set in the game inside of my spectre dimension and now they are all gone. I would rather have had thaumcraft removed than lose a weeks worth of progress.

 

That's definitely not true. My and items in that base have not been rolled back at all. It seems only some things were rolled back.

Yeah.. I'm kinda with you there. I mean, I'll probably still play as I have stuff to continue going, but as I said before, it's tough to get motivated when you just lost hours and hours of progress.

 

im sorry but not to sound like i don't care
but you do this every time you play a pack (as in play thaumcraft/blood magic/witchery/botania)
i mean i have done witchery and thaumcraft countless times on different packs
and i will continue doing it
the fact people are moaning about losing stuff on the server is stupid because you lose stuff when you change servers/modpacks
i understand if your chunks got rolled back as that is just pure annoyance

 

That's different though. You go to a new server/modpack because it attracts you and doing those things again sounds fun when in combination with the new things. It's different when you've just reached the end-game in a specific mod and then have no choice but to do it all again.
