/tool Command

I see this very often and Im always making golden shovels for people, my suggestion, Create a /tool command that gives a golden shovel. Simple command to write that will help many people in the long run.​

 

2 sticks and 1 gold ingot. I can get that within 10mins of playing depending on pack.

 

exactly, I play Infinity Expert, you cant throw together an iron pick and go. You need a decent setup before being able to create a tool to mine it. If people dont notice the shovel is unusable, and use it, they shouldnt be punished and not able to protect their stuff.

 

We could probably implement a kit for packs such as infinity-expert and regrowth.

 

That would be perfect, something to help on packs that getting the shovel back isnt such an easy thing to do. Of course I agree, if your on something like vanilla plus, then just get it. But as I said this pack is a whole different story.

 

But if they don't know what the golden shovel is for at the beginning and get rid of it, how are they going to know to get a kit? Instead of people asking in chat for a shovel, they'll be asking for a kit...or a shovel.

Wouldn't it be a better solution to be a good neighbor and let them borrow your golden shovel until they can make one of their own?

 

lol no, you think its better to take time to teleport them to your base, make them a shovel, and have them teleport back out instead of just do /kit shovel? '

If they did ask in game people would just have to tell them of the kit and not waste their resources.

 

You can solve them not knowing what the shovel is for etc. by having a tip that appears saying like "Need a new claim's shovel ? then do /tools to receive a new shovel".

Also if they don't know what the shovel is for then it doesn't really affect them until they need the shovel, and then when that occurs they have a pre-defined kit sat there ready to use to get a new shovel.

Then it would get ridiculous with people accidentally making claims all over the place.

 

And a lot of people know when they see a golden shovel that is for claiming it to change it to anything else would make things a lot more confusing then helpful in my opinion

 

Not to mention /ekit shovel exists... you can do that every 20 minutes. Not hard.

 

It does not exist on Infinity Expert 2.

 

I think alot of the new folks realize the shovel is for claims.

I don't think they know it breaks in 1 hit.

Ah, I see. Well then make all Golden Shovels be named 'ClaimShovel' or something, can't be hard.

 

Either way that doesnt solve the issue, some servers they are usable and others they arent. So some you can use it for a while and still be abe to claim this one its gone after 1 hit.

 

Fine, name it ClaimShovel (Not for Digging).
