well you need to keep two things in mind.

the amount of mods we currently have we should aim to stay around the 175, so which mod do you gonna sacrefice for it?

personally i don't really see anything we already can do added.

I can take it or leave it. At least is seems more simple than Open Computers.

this mod is the bee's knees for automation
it has mostly everything you need to set up a nice little system for many different things all you need left if the know how
i would personally like it in the pack because i like to try different ways to make things rather then use the same mod over and over again

I feel it can be used to do some very cleaver things that we cant currently do. logical areguements can be done already with redstone control, however SFM adds many ways to interact with the world that are not currently possible, such as detecting a particular type of block, as well as using the same block to place differnt blocks on differnt signals.

Is that automation going to contribute to lag?

it would be the same with the current mods in the pack nothing like AE2 lag[DOUBLEPOST=1457391701,1457386151][/DOUBLEPOST]
i do want to point out that civ has around 145 mods
so it's still a pretty small pack compared to the large bulky packs out there

I just realized potato is an option! I'm changing my vote from a no to potato :D

Here is my reason behind potato, if you added Stevens factory manager than potato potatoes! But potatoes would also cause some potatoes potato performance issues. With a lot of people wanting automation and potato manager being the best option it's going to cause a lot of people to make many complicated tasks for the potato manager and sometimes the tasks cause a lot of performance lag alone so imagine 10 potato managers running a laggy task for it! Boom Tps would already be going down just from a couple people making potatoes.

I could also be completely wrong and just ranting about potatoes... I havnt used steves since 1.6.4 so I don't know if it's better when it comes to performance on servers.

It isn't too bad as long as you limit yourself to how much you do inside of one manager.

They're the ones that get their manager nuked and have to re input everything, after they get the message to optimize it.
