Done Adding Affinity Tome: None to market

So when you excessively use a certain spell over and over again, you are given that spell's affinity. These spell affinities can have very useful, or very awful effects. Players may not want to have a affinity, such as Life Affinity, for people who've been grinding with their Self-Life Tap-Heal spell. These guys get debuffed when they kill something. And then we have the Ender Affinity, which makes you weak to water, rain, and sunlight. Even for vampire players this can be bad, as this water weakness drops your health bar by a percent of your total health. Each affinity has its shortcommings, which is why the uncraftable, unobtainable Affinity Tome: None should be added to our market. Its to help players who get these affinity debuffs while trying to grind their way up Ars Magica's leveling system.

 

In some ways, I agree. But make it really expensive. You put the time in grinding, might as well have something to waste those MyMs on!

 

Is there no way to get it in Normal game play?

 

I looked it up, I don't think it can even be found in dungeon chests.

 

Well me personal would prefer to add it as rare dungeon loot would that be OK with u ?

No. Don't argue with me, adding it as dungeon loot wouldn't do anything as the farmworld is already reset.

If you can add a recipe then fine.. I just feel like you hate adding things to the market, since the market would be better for it.

 

Yes I do hate add things to the market I prefer a in game system such as crafting as its idk more natural and I prefer to have people actuly work for most stuff not just vote

 

They are working, on Ars Magica's incredibly flawed and grindy leveling system. I suppose you've only been using shrink so you wouldn't know what its like to get the stupid debuffs as a consequence of using a certain spell. The tome should be readily accessible to these people. and crafting it won't be good enough.
Market it. Its the only good way, get over your preference and think about it.

John what do you think the tome is for, creating a ender quarry? It drops affinities you don't want. Thats its only use.

 

it is not ment to be obtainable in normal play. so u want a easy way for all the tombs? just so its easier for u?

and as a point u know u could just make a spell to conter the affinty?

 

Would you stop being stubborn. That method takes an incredibly long time as you need to create a spell thats opposite from the one you have, and may give you even more unwanted affinities. The tome is the way out, and I'm not asking for all the tomes, I'm asking for the one that removes affinities. And there shouldn't be a recipe for them, that'd involve an unnecessary extra step to getting rid of the debuffs.

 

so u want a easy way is what you are saying. mithion has always said affinitys should be something you need to constantly battle but you want everything to be easy dont let me stop you.

 

GOD you sound so freaking stubborn and sarcastic. I'm giving valid reasons to put it on the market for everyone and your sitting there arguing about how that'd be too easy. You do realize if you make a recipe for it someone will make a system that spits them out in the thousands?

And don't tell me you'll make the recipe something ridiculously stupid to compensate for that, as there would be almost no benifit to making it otherwise as the tome only removes 10% per use as far as I can tell.

 

i was thinking of using essances so u actuly have to play with ars but like i said either way
also why is this in support this is a suggestion

 

Their already playing with Ars as the only use for a tome is to get rid of affinities after leveling up for hours.
