So with any of my transfer nodes they lag like crazy. I have to be standing on top of it just to get it to work and if i walk away from it then it stops. Is there a way to fix this or transfer my island to node 2 so it does not lag like this as it's almost unplayable.
    Thanks

You need to run a chunk loaders. Set it to cover your base.

Otherwise whatever chunk you are not in will run slower.

my base is in about 2 chunks as I just started and I have been next to the transfer nodes for about an hour and its only output 3 stacks of cobble into a barrel from a lava gen. I can even watch the inventory look be frozen at 0,0 for about a minute before it does something then repeats.

The transfer node arent "lagging" they just have a reduced tick rate. The way we have it setup is the chunks you are not in tick at a reduced rate whereas the one you are standing in ticks at the speed of the server tps. The way to bypass this is to use a chunk loader. But I will come have a look now to see if it is another issue.

Well a couple of things, chunk loaders are actually very cheap especially if you are already working on transfer nodes, you only need 9 iron for the server side ones and a pro tip if you want your base to run very smoothly at the start, build all in the same chunk so all of your machines and such work while you are in the same chunk instead of moving from one to the other. But later on this isnt that important considering chunk loaders.
