Its great to see al the basic packs you can buy in the shop, but im missing 1 iron block to chunkload my base early game. it would be nice to be able to buy 1 iron block to get a chunkloader from the start.
Iron isn't that hard to get[DOUBLEPOST=1461584944][/DOUBLEPOST]What are even going to chunk load that early on when you don't even have iron
Now I dont really agree with the idea you have right now but I believe if they put in like 5 iron blocks 5 gold blocks and like 2 million tickets as a kit I think that might be a good idea.
2 million tickets can be easily gotten within 4 straight days of voting and only using the 50 tokens to buy tickets. Either than the point of it being entirely silly to be able to buy that with real money, it's also easily gotten. Plus, why in the world would you ever need that many tickets that early in game. As stated above if you aren't able to get iron there's no reason for you to chunkload yet.
Hm, there are actually packs where more space than one chunk is quite helpful, and the first iron is not that easy to get. Regrowth would be an example, unless you really want to start stacking farms on top of each other. Also in BeeHappy it usually takes a bit of time to get some iron, if you havent played the pack before and go quite fast for iron bees. I think in some packs there should be an alternative option for getting the MyM chunkloader, since iron blocks are not always easy to get. Wouldn't it be possible to introduce some more exotic recipe? For example something like "compressed oak logs" (9 oak logs crafted together), which counts as a chunkloader? Oak is usually one of the first resource people get. In my opinion a chunkloader should not be something that people have to grind for, since it actually encourages them to go voting, which only helps the MyM servers to get a better ranking.
That would add a unique item, which would block people not using the MyM launcher from playing on our servers. And please don't suggest a simple log. People use those as part of building houses, there's a ton of trees around, and I do not want to get the chunkload gui popping up every time I right click a log by accident. Not to mention how many accidental chunk loaders people would place with that. And how many random chunks would end up being loaded. It makes me dizzy just thinking about it.
I wasnt going to suggest a log. I think in most packs iron block is just fine. But in some it is a but more complicated. Regrowth was just an example, but especially there you need quite some space to level your stuff and get things going. Especially if you play alone. If you rush through the pack in a team of 5 people, then of course that isnt really an issue to get there fast. Why not use a sign which has a specific text on it? Similar to the one you need to activate the portal.
from my experience the signs need to be replaced after a restart for them to work again so chunkloading with them could be a problem
That's reasonable.[DOUBLEPOST=1461785359][/DOUBLEPOST] Its not exactly the fact that I wanted the kit to actually be in existence it was more so I was just trying to build onto the already existing idea. My idea seems silly of course and all the points that you said are true but again I was just building off of the idea.[DOUBLEPOST=1461785459][/DOUBLEPOST] Yeah I would've said that if you hadn't [DOUBLEPOST=1461785539][/DOUBLEPOST] I don't believe they need to be replaced. At least my sign beneath a nether portal has never had the need to be replaced.
