Please read thoroughly through this post Done - MyM breaking the law? | MineYourMind Community as it is containing a discussion of this topic to its full extent. Read every reply not just the OP's post :)

Also, I do not see this post as a good discussion starter... if that was your intention? All you've done was provided some links. Do you have any opinions on this topic? Something you'd wish to discuss or point out? Have questions or any concerns? There's not much to go on on just two links. Only pointing it out as to help create better discussions/debates for future :)

also going from that the stuff that donators get are small low level and save them what 4-8 hours of mining not really that much? and to be fair even if mojang/microsoft did notice and get concerned all they would have to do is come on and actuly look at a a mym server with the tps that most run at and they would suddenly relise oh ye money doesnt grow on trees plus its a one of donation unlike most if not all servers which is a huge upside so people arnt paying per month and even microsoft are aware how expensive servers are to run and its not pay to win so i say mym did funding/funding perfectly for donators and normaly players with no pay wall ect and to be honest i think it would be worth while for mym to monetize a small area in spawn on certain servers because they must constatly be balencing the books in terms of servers power costs(which are most likly breath taking) equipment (example Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151 Processor … | OcUK just for a cpu thats quite a bit plus they have to upgrade a fair bit too) and just as important if not more developers need pay they make the plugins work properly. and lets not forget all the staff that are not payed that work here because they like the community ect. its about time mojang and everyone else for that matter gave companys like mym a break they are doing wizardry with the budget they have and i hope mojang and everyone else respects that :)

the fact of that matter is is that the EULA isn't being broken in the first place, which is why this post really isn't neccesary

well ... to be fair its flying a bit close to the wind
Can I sell “kits” for hard currency if I provide a balanced alternative for non-paying users?
If the “kits” contain gameplay-affecting features they are not allowed. Gameplay balance is not relevant to the EULA. If the items included in the kit are purely cosmetic, you can charge real money/hard currency.
Can I sell boosters, which provide faster gold gain, XP, or other in-game resources for hard currency?
No - boosters, item generators, and all other features that affect gameplay are not allowed.
Does the EULA still apply for access to user-created mods?
Yes. It doesn’t make a difference who made the mods, or how they were implemented onto your server. All mods require Minecraft to run. You are not allowed to charge for Minecraft features which affect gameplay.

dont get me wrong i think u should sell kits but the kits would come under the quotes above
    in addition
Can I charge for access to server commands?
Yes, as long as their effects are purely cosmetic. Commands that affect gameplay, such as a command to fly, cannot be sold for hard currency.
