you have to be someone else while being mod and cant express yourself apparently[DOUBLEPOST=1462360132][/DOUBLEPOST]Why should i be a community leader im hated by like 1/3 of the people XD
Nah, thats not what I said. Being a moderator was ok, no need to change yourself for that. The reasons for my resignation were different ones: basically a need to do more reallife stuff and then some disconnection between the work I wanted to do at MyM and the work I was supposed to do at MyM. But that is not really connected to this topic here.
First of all, that is probably not true. Most people just don't care what you do, that is not the same. Secondly, stop worrying about people hating you. That mostly points to issues in their own life they are not able to deal with.
Obviously without going into details, let's just say that discussing crazar here is pointless. And he is definitely not missed by me.
I am not really for this community leader idea, but I think it would be a start if people outside staff that actually do stuff here (like john), still get access to team information somehow. For example pack maintainers should have access to the team slack. I find it frustrating to see the lack of communication between pack maintainers and staff when it comes to pack updates. The last 2 months of looking at the Hypo situation gave me plenty of examples there. Also, most people here in this thread are involved in something anyway, but just not part of staff. Most even got their application rejected.
Something Like who users could go to with help with or talk to like something like they are the young child the community leaders are like the big brother and the staff are like the parents doing all the important tasks. Idk like things like meanal stuff like if someone doesnt know something about a specific pack or ideas or stuff like that just to like free staff up abit and keep the bridge between staff and users closer so it feels like a community[DOUBLEPOST=1462362484][/DOUBLEPOST]The problem is that do i really want to put an application in from the things ive heard, it sounds more like slavery than helping people from the things ive heard, i just think specific member who want to help and have beeen here through many a change such as us lot have tried to help the community in many a way, like i know me and john will always try to find a solution first before getting a mod involved. I just think something between player and staff would be benificial thats all[DOUBLEPOST=1462362988,1462362240][/DOUBLEPOST]@Sandstroem We arent allowed to talk about hypo
Few of the hypo maintainers are staff members and the issue wasn't the split up slack. What information for example? I don't think you will find someone who knows everything about every mod and modpack. I also don't see how this would changed anything between staff and players.
I don't see the point of generic threads like this. Staff here has always been open to feedback, ideas, and constructive criticism. If people don't like something, voice it. A quit it attitude without trying to have your side understood, or trying to change it is ridiculous. At the same time random passive aggressive posts like this do more to hurt any relationship between players and staff. No one likes to hear generic non descriptive feedback like this, it's like shouting "you suck". It doesn't start a conversation or provide an avenue to improve.
