Advent of Ascension on new NERO pack

    soooo Lordicon told me to put this here since i didnt know where else to put this but i would highly recommend a developer programming a plugin to heavily restrict the amount of mobs that are able to spawn per certain biome, if not the servers may crash all the time due to how many of them can spawn in such short amount of time i.e this - Screenshot by Lightshot (generated this many mobs in bout 10 seconds of loading the biome in single player)


    also if this is gonna be a pvp oriented pack i highly recommend using factions and MCMMO on the servers cause that would be benificial to the the community that likes pvp, while advent of ascension is cool and all it is an extremely difficult mod to get used to and survive in partys of players especially when you need 5 players to kill the primordial five boss which is the end game boss you want to be farming, to level your skills tho you will need to PvE alot more then PvP which is why i suggest the 2 plugins to help out with the pvp situations

    we already have a system in place for that. Its on all our servers.

    AoA has its own skilling system, many of the skills match the one from mcmmo, so there is no need

    the pack and server is oriented on a youtube project called nero. while there is pvp it isn't the main focus. we are going to use griefprevention for the first season and might use towny later.

    I believe factions would be better than towny too
    i am gonna get killed for saying this but could this put another nail in in Civs coffin?

    due to the nature of pvp, i beleive it would be beneficial to the servers community to run factions over greif prevention cause you will be able to kill bosses with your faction and the /f claim i beleive is better as well when it comes to claiming land as it allows you to be more flexible with it since it claims in chunks, factions would also be benficial to those who want to pvp mass raids for bosses cause that also allows you to pvp others while not being able to hurt your members somewhat like Final Fantasy in a sense

    Griefprevention will be there during the first season while we learn the mods and get a feeling for what is possible and what fits.
    The thought has been to use a towny like systems as we would like to see in town trading, town to town trading (some dimensions being owned by towns), big city builds... To have some RPG and not only PvP. Towny also the possibility to declare war, but I never used that, so no idea on how well it works..

    Comparing factions to towny, where you do you see each others strengths?

    Disclaimer: I have only made bad experiences with factions due to factions camping at the edge of the world and being protected there. The raid thing is a bit tricky as the modded weapons bypass all restrictions so friendly is definitely something that will be the case.

    i do like this idea on the new pack, but i also do see a problem with it as well, if not properly controlled by the network players will be able to camp the portals when you first spawn in unless it works like the nether portal and creates a new one each time to relative cordinates, i also do feel like you would need a in game currency system as well to force players a fee to enter town owned dimensions, factions however is easily raidable on the edge of the world, you just need to know your redstone ;)

    TNT cannon?
    There are quite some modded blocks which ignore any protections, therefor they would not be usable near protections as raiding would be too easy
    We don't want a destroyed looking world and underground hiding spots. Maybe we can iterate the entire thing. One season its griefprevention, the next it is factions another it is towny. Should keep the entire thing interesting.

    there are other items that can do mass destruction to blocks, just have to find out what they are ;)
