I was playing early today, on Inf Node 5, server rebooted and when it came back, it had wiped all my claims, even though I was playing, on the server, minutes earlier... I was running a town on the server, checked in at least every 1½ weeks to make sure everything was doing all right, came back to day, was playing for an hour or two, fixing some things on my town, then server reboot happens, I log back in, to find that everything has been wiped off the face of the planet. Or well, world map, at least. Made a ticket about it, at the location of my former town, only to get what mostly seemed like a copy-paste reply about the "no refund policy on lost items" and a closing of my ticket, which didn't come close to relating to my issue at all. Can we just expect the claim-wipe to happen even though you're playing on the server, and if it happens, tough luck?
Yeah, and I was playing only minutes before it was wiped. All my claims were removed, it's like the server didn't register that I was playing, and choose to just wipe it all, as if I hadn't been playing for weeks, even though I had. Got a reply back on my ticket, same guy, same answer. Looks like I'll not be playing on Infinity 5 anymore, rip anyone that had homes in the town as well, out of my hands now, seeing as mods apparently don't care about this issue, judging from the answers I've gotten, not even caring to look into the issue, just outright saying "will not refund, too bad for you."
I'll wait for the forum mods to clear this up, esp. since now the managers+admins are more likely to see it, this should be refunded under the no refunds policy even still, because it's the server's fault and only the server's
How long ago before today was your last time on the server? And roughly how long did you spend on the server do you think?
Well, the mod that handled the ticket was pretty adamant in his response and shutdown of the ticket twice, so I'm not getting my hopes up. At least 30-50 minutes, leading up to the reboot. I recall seeing several "server reboot in xx minutes" a while after I logged on. Been around a week and a half since I was Inf5 last.
Back then? A few hours I think, lots have happened since so I can't give you an exact amount of time.
Ok from what you're saying it sounds like your claim definitely shouldn't have been deleted, ill look into this with the admins. I'm not sure what happened but I'll try and at least get to the bottom of it. Unfortunately I cant guarantee that the base can even be restored even if the issue is on our end, but I'll do my best to find out for you
Cheers, thank you for at least taking the time to look into it, and not just tossing a copy-paste message at me. I really don't care about losing my own stuff, I wasn't all that active and had pretty much anything I wanted, having the entire town and everyone in it lose their stuff is the biggest issue for me. I'm mostly surprised it happened, because as I said, I was online and playing on the server before the reboot, for at least half an hour, so it had no reason to auto-wipe my stuff due to inactivity, unless it for some reason don't register that I was playing, or whatever went wrong.
Ok here's the deal. The claim deleter queues the claims to delete on start up. So even if you played, if you were over 2 weeks prior it'll be reset on the next restart. Give me a minute to pull your last login before this.[DOUBLEPOST=1469416717][/DOUBLEPOST]Ok...you were over 2 weeks gone from the server, hence the delete. I understand your frustration and certainly can be understanding of your loss, this occurred through player fault. In the future I suggest using the /absence command if you are going to be offline for extended periods of time. Rekalty - Inf5 - 2016-07-10 12:04:39 Rekalty - Inf5 - 2016-07-24 17:03:20
So I was a few hours later, but still before the queued wipe, and it did it anyway?... All righty then, guess I'm done with Inf5 then.
Happens to all of us I came back after months of inactivity on Regrowth, just to find out that some admin had been busy and finally installed the claim deletion on that pack. Luckily my private ~30 chunk island (which includes a hungry node and a spawner) had not been found yet by other players, so I could reclaim it Funny thing, if I had not claimed it, it probably would have still been there Outside of the claim there were still some old torches around edit: this post needs more smileys
