Done World downloader gives internal error

As first reported by The_Icy_One:

Using the commands "/wd add claim" and "/wd dl" the server returns the message for an internal server error. This does not occur when using "/wd add", with or without radius, and occurs after the "Checking for claims..." message is given for the dl command.

This issue is not fixed for me. Added mod, did force update. Mod was not listed in ForceUpdate list, but is listed in mod list accessible from main menu.

I get this error, in a test claim that I just created with no subdivisions, when using /wd dl. /wd add claim seems to work fine, as no error is reported.

Tried in SkyFactory, works as intended.

 

Could you try the download and use the debug version? And then look at console to see what it gives.

 

If you detail the steps involved, sure. Otherwise, no idea what you're asking for.

Fixed, with qualifiers. Successfully reset all my claims to remove any subclaims, avoided using /add radius, and was able to export, apparently, my claims that I re-made. I had to /unclaimall, though, in the interests of accomplishing this project in anything resembling a reasonable amount of time. To anyone coming after me, here's what I learned.

Don't use radius.
Don't have Subdivided claims.
The added claims are persistent through main menu returns, so re-launch the client entirely to reset what the /wd tool thinks you've added.
With the downloaded world, if I go into the single player world FIRST upon launching the client, it will work. It won't work the second time, so restart the client again to get back in.
If you go into the multiplayer world first, re-launch the client to get into the SP world.

I know that the WD tool is provided for us to download our builds. I have so much stuff spread out on the map, it was not practical to grab it all. I think I'm virtually the only one left with any builds on the server. If an admin reads this, and cares to do me a favor, I'd love to receive the whole map. If you're unwilling, don't bother telling me the reasons, just ignore the request. Otherwise, I'd be in your debt. I did put a lot of time into this server. I'd love to keep a copy of it.

Afair we don't do whole world's as its over 10GB of space. But I'm willing to be corrected on that.

I had 30 claims or so. Had to /unclaimall as it would have been prohibitive to travel to all, catalog whether they had subclaims, unclaim them, rebuild them, etc. With the tool being so finicky, I had to KISS. So, they got unclaimed. I have just about 200,000 claim blocks now, so that gives an idea.

Couldn't care less about the world size. Drop it on a memory stick and ship it. I'd pay the costs. Money not really an object either. Really just comes down to whether someone wants to take the time or not. The rest of the issues are easily solved with wit or money. Between us we have no shortage of either.

No troubles, Lucid. Many good times. The downloader is pretty limited, but that's life.

Pay no attention to anyone other than me when they try to tell you what I had. They actually don't really know.

Entire overworld map, all quadrants. Was making a transit system for the mall. Friendly outposts, and a way for people to get around because of the lack of /homes.

10 claims or so were around spawn. 10 from 30 leaves 20. Thusly, most were not around spawn. The biggest constructs were, to be sure, and they've been captured. In the end, I grabbed my main base, the spawn town, and Tsumi's base. There are another 18 or so claims that got abandoned.

As an aside, in my perfect world the /WD would work a bit differently. It would have a /captureall option that would run a list of my claims, adjust outward a few chunks in each direction around each one to account for imperfect claims, remove any claimed areas that aren't mine, ignore subdivided claims, capturing top-level without an error, and export the final product. That would make the tool easy for large empires. Granted, the bulk of your users wouldn't need that option, so the work/benefit equation is lopsided, but that's my perfect world option.

 

With the shutdown of the server, this thread could be closed/marked as done.
