i have crafted using both the old portal and new portals .. yet i cannot get to work - yet i know of 2 people who have got it to work and mine is the same as theirs. Was there a recent update that disabled it or what am i doing wrong. PLEASE help .. !! .... i've crafted the portal with oak leaves filling the inside .. and 3 blocks away is the gaean keystone, and for the life of me i cannot get the staff to be inserted ....
It isn't with that setup where it is hollow on the inside and 3d-ish. It's basically 2d and you have to fill the inside with oak leaves and then put the Gaea scepter holder 1 block in front of it. You can use any shape, just make sure you can fit inside it in your regular form. Spoiler: Like this
We finally got it to going. You just use stone bricks in any design you want so long as it connects, fill with the oak leaves, make sure the portal block has only 1 space open between it and the portal itself and right click the want on it. Just take stone bricks, say, make a square with the inside being open about 3 x 3 squares. Fill the inside opening with leaves. Then leave a block between that frame and the portal block. Right click with the wand and presto OOOOO 5 stone bricks OLLLO stone brick, 3 leaves, stone brick OLLLO OLLLO OOOOO 5 stone bricks {} {} {} {} {} P Portal frame (side view), empty space, portal block []
