I had an idea for a competition because I am horrible at building, and I'm sure others are as well (no offense) I got the idea from direwolf20s Wrenched series: basically instead of building with just blocks from chisel2, we would make a contraption on a certain thing ex. Automate "___" Use "___" mod to make "___"
This is a really nice idea and we are surely going to consider it. Going to tag the other event manager to have a look as well. @_prpl_
3... 2... 1... cobble 9x9 time!!! More seriously, despite I'm quite good at building I really like the idea. Especially because engineers are actually a lot bigger part of the playerbase than builders are, so competition would be a lot bigger. Also, automating stuff is one of the things modded minecraft focuses on the most, so "automate x" would make players invent a lot of different designs. The only problem may be actually judging, because the more people, the more chances are some of them will have idenfical designs.
Well in Direwolf20's series they judged things by Functionality, Design, and Creativity. and you could still just judge them the same way[DOUBLEPOST=1470105036,1470078269][/DOUBLEPOST] That goes the same for a building comp, someone could easily just copy someone's build, and build it.
