Hello there!!! After waiting for a very long time and for our judges a really hard time we can now finally release our top 10. You will find some links here to everyones file on Dropbox where we have dropped some screenshots from each build. Simply clicking the link should allow you to go to the file of that player and you will be able to see the builds of him. Just to make this clear to everyone. The person who is here, listed as the first one, isn't the first person in the judges decision. I have thrown the top 10 players in a program that I wrote myself and made a random list of them. This to not influence someone. The votes will stay open for 48 hours. Once they passed you are no longer able to vote. Last but not least. Yes, you can vote for yourself. Links: Johnfg12 Yurikha27 WikidSick xpaule123 Gasplund Kingofgodwars Jess_Eye TheVampiricT Ben85 Rohen We all wish you good luck! Note: Staffs, please do not vote twice and if you vote then do it in the staff section! link. We all wish you good luck! Please be advised that many builders have added additional screenshots in the showcase section of the forums
>:O I am outraged by you guys editing our comments and deleting our comments butt i am right, you could have been more generous with the screenshots though, although people like bens bases are 10x bigger, you were judging on interior aswell as exterior etc
would still end in 10x more screenshots of my base, as theres lot more stuff interior, still i'm fine with what got posted. i'm just missing some screenshots of the interior of jess_eye's base, she put lot of effort in the interior details, but maybe we are allowed to add some personal screenshots to the mym-showcase?! https://mineyourmind.net/forum/gallery/albums/inf-n6-building-contest.148/
That is a really good idea ben. If people want they can still show their own base in the showcase. Beside that, keep negative talk about something in our private message, you can always message one of the coordinators about this.
and plus i didnt go soo big like bens base, because use of space and chunkloading aswell[DOUBLEPOST=1470319138][/DOUBLEPOST] What u mean?
so did i got it right? everyone votes for himself/herself?[DOUBLEPOST=1470319402][/DOUBLEPOST]why not use a dropbox link?
yes, go to showcase, make a rightclick of the preview of your album and select "copy link address" or something like that, then put it in the post with CTRL + V edit: or just open the album and copy the URL from the browser address bar
How is this voting system going to work? Given the multiple systems like FPTP (plurality voting) have a large wasted-vote effect, which allows for election engineering, I suggest we adopt a STV (single-transferable vote) system to assign votes. In this system, one would rank their preferences and losers would be eliminated one-by-one, with their votes transferred to their next preference. This would eliminate the potential for election engineering schemes which would allow a minority to disproportionately influence the outcome of the vote. A simple example tactic would be colluding to vote one person (without having sufficient votes for a majority) while others split their votes, thus stealing the election. The winner would then compensate the voters, much as in a political machine. Note that the rules do not expressly prohibit this; it was only mentioned soliciting votes for oneself was prohibited, but organizing a bloc in favor of someone else was not mentioned. Feel free to ask me for more details.
You had no issue with the clearly laid out voting system when you joined the competition. If you had any suggestions for making the voting system better, before the competition started was the time to suggest changing it, not after the voting started.... If you believe the system is unfair you have every right to drop out of the race if you wish.
Guys this is my full base showcase, please look at it and vote 4 me! https://mineyourmind.net/forum/gallery/albums/wikidsicks-base-building-competition.142/
It was a suggestion, not a complaint. No need for such a response; I'm already satisfied with how far I've come, so I don't hold a particularly large stake in this issue; neither do I harbor any animosity for my suggestion being rejected. However, given this information, if the staff still believes it is fair, that is acceptable. I presume forming voting parties is allowed then? Also @WikidSick: I think the rules prohibit soliciting votes?
