While this is a way to stop "trolls", it also stops a lot of people from joining TS. I have seen people come and go that i know play on the servers... but just dont want to verify. Is there anyway we can remove this "lock" on teamspeak? People already can make private rooms with passwords... if someone is really bothering them. Then they can just report that person. All this lock is doing, is making the teamspeak have a lot less users. I think its better for the community to just leave it with the MyM password. And ban people as needed.
At the time of implementation the ts was being killed multiple times a day due to a bug in the teamspeak software that was abused by users. Banning someone on teamspeak doesn't do much because they can just delete their identity and get back on.
If you just didn't need to do it in the hubs (if that's how it still works) and was able to do it on the modpack servers it wouldn't be as much as a pain and maybe more people would varify themself. Don't know if that is possible but it would be nice.
It's kinda a pain to verify on android also - you have to login with android and a desktop teamspeak client at the same time. on the desktop you have to add the android client login as a friend. then copy the code from them. then go into the hub, and add it to your /ts add codything. it's not written very well anywhere but right here now.
Rumor has it that there exists a secret staff chest, guarded by none other than @EndorianHD himself. Among all of SirStudmuffins staff applications (which get piped into a void chest nearby instantly), it contains a document called "Disguising an intelligence test as a TS entry protection verification system". Judging from the average occupation of Teamspeak, which has decreased in the last months since introduction of this "verification system", I have not much hope for the future of humanity.
Really? I put so much effort into it. edit: Oh it is still there. Thought you deleted it, but Lucids post came in between.
I changed the default group so it can join other channels again. We will keep the verified group for now, that way we can "lockdown" the server to verified users at any time.
