I've been working on a public solar panel farm so players can have free access to RF when chunk loaded. Currently, i have only placed about half of the solar panels but more are to be added. I'm also wondering if its allowed as I don't know what other people, Mods or the Owner would think. I would like your support on the idea and also other players help with the project. I can give the location as long as players don't take the hundreds of ultimate panels.
    Sincerely, Eugene5348

While I understand that you want to do something nice for others...
This is more than likely to happen if you do not claim the area. I've seen many "public" areas griefed or destroyed just because some people don't play nice with others.

Hey, just make a tesseract with free energy channel (i did that) and provide free power.

Public is allowed, but as Kaze pointed out it will be more than likely be griefed moments after you put the finishing touches on it. Timleg002 had the easiest suggestion for you. Put a tesseract on it and let the power flow!

The only chunk loading that is permitted is iron and gold block chunk loading.

  12. Welp, another handy thing banned.[DOUBLEPOST=1474343721,1474338770][/DOUBLEPOST]But don't you think hundreds of ic2 solar panels will make a decent amount of lag?

I have had some experience with making community areas in the past and the best way I have found to do it if you want people to go there is to set the energy pipe/wire right on the edge of the claim so people can place their energy-requiring things on the edge, however this would be hard to do in a skyblock pack because of the lack of control over claim areas. But in normal packs it usually works out, (it's a bit harder to do with items but still fairly easy as long as you can deal with those trolls who take every item in the community area)

Hm, had that idea yesterday and forgot to post it. But I also can't find a single mention here of what pack the thread author is referring too. Maybe I am just stupid today. :D
