1.10 mod packs

I see a few popular minecraft youtubers playing 1.10 mod packs (hermitpack) seems kinda fun most of the mods are updated with a bunch of new features was wondering when will another 1.10 pack be added to the launcher since most of the mods that we use in the packs that already exists are not updated a few of us on the direwolf20 server had a discussion about it

 

Its not as simple as an update, plugins have to be redone, server settings have to be waited on.
Slind even said itll take atleast another 6 months before that happens

 

not to mention mc 1.10 isnt that good on multicore gpu's i myself cna load up and run the hermit pack. but it wont recognise that i have a multi core gpu and instead trreats me as having a low end not very powerful gpu. On vanilla i can use optifine. but so far gettign the hermit pack and optifine to work together is hard as heck.

 

minecraft is coded kinda like a pant scratched to ribbons and held together with lots of stitches and safety pins. Absolutely not what you can call optimized.

Hermitpack is run on a vanilla forge server, rather than sponge, so there will be no plugins available on their server, so if someone were to get griefed, then we couldn't do anything about it. We wouldn't be able to offer donor perks and other such on there as well as those are mostly given by plugins.

i vaguely recall seeing a server advertising having some form of grief protection and logging in but it was so laggy and barely anyone one was on. so chatting to find out the info wasnt a option. but yea the hermits arnt big on grief protection or for that matter servers normal plyaers are on.

 

i understand what everyone is saying , it could be a whitelisted test server type of thing but anyways you guys know best so if you say its not possible YET i don't mind waiting a while

 

nots disagreeing. the issue realy is grief protection ive been on servers with none and it sucked. alot. and somthing people dont think about is that plugins like anti grief take up resources. its not very likely that mohjang will ever add such a thing to the game and while you can get a group of peopel to respect others boundries ther will always be griefers who love to troll public servers. so yeas worth the wait. who knows maybe mohjang or microsoft will work to optimise mc just a bit.

 

Never said it wasn't possible. It just isn't very stable with sponge and all that as of now.

At the moment mods arnt even stable enough for that I'm on about 10 different crashes from 1.10 mode also also there is a lot plugins that are either not updated or do not have the features we need as a server

 

I would recomend another 1.10.2 modpack called TechNodeFirmaCraft. it is much like DIE as it is based on TFC but it also has a few more mods added as well. i have been playing it for the last few weeks and i like it. you will want a staff member to try it to see if you wil like it as well

 

If its anything like DIE i wouldnt see it having a long lasting time on the network, DIE, died off very quickly after initial launch

 

It is not called DIE for nothing.

 

it is hard core but doing quests can earn more lives. you start with 20 and so far i have added about another 20 in the first 2 chapters

 

direwolf20 1.10 pack is about to launch in a week or two just fyi

 

well ive just had a look, seems like the issues we have currently are being worked on

 

the issues with running 1.10.2 packs???

 

plugins missing stuff mainly not 1.10 packs as such more sponge and its plugins

 

The FTB infinity Lite 1.10 pack is also out now, would be a great new pack to play on mym
