Done Claim distance question

is there a minimum distance claims should be from each other? I checked the rules and it doesn't say anything. I was just wondering if there was a best practice/common courtesy rule of thumb for the server.

Thx. There should be a rule about this. I've got some random person building right up against my claim. Probably 16 blocks away, but that's still really close. Its just rude, in my opinion.

 

players are not supposed to have their claim within 3 chunks of another player's claim

 

There is no hard and fast rule, but it is recommended that players be considerate of each other and talk to their neighbors.

 

but also it will not allow you to claim too close to another claim (this was a big annoyance when i was making my town in tekkit legends)

Hmm never really used that, knew it existed but didn't bother to learn how, but I also felt like letting them claim it themselves gave them more freedom and less hassle for me overall And if I ever couldn't get on and my claims reset, then all of their bases wouldn't be damaged (mostely)

 

Claiming to close causes all kinds of problems, because several items like wands, chisel and other stuff disappear from your hotbar into your inventory and you cant use them.

If he claims as close as you say, I would tell him to get lost or directly make a ticket to get some moderator's assistance.

 

As a good rule of thumb, I usually say at least 2 chunks apart is usually best.
