Feedback Raw copy of the Events Document I made for Public discussion.

Introduction

 

I would prefer the "walls event" to be vanilla. It is supposed to be fun and people can come up with traps made out of vanilla redstone stuff, similar to the videos that the Yogscast did a while ago. So please no modded highend weapons and armor.

As already mentioned in TS, the "one side of the server to another" event sounds more boring than it actually is. Do you just start running or do you take 2 minutes do get some food going? You can actually come up with some interesting tactics, especially if the event is not just one time over the server but multiple times.

 

All of those sound plausible as only requires a one time setup, it's the holiday events that might give us headaches because of the amount of behind the scenes that takes place to pull them off. Take screwed as an example it took me the better part of two to three days to get the server set up, and probably a week or so for the building staff to get in there and make it look nice.

So it is plausible to do them, but when you bring in holidays most of us have families etc, so taking time away to run an event might not be feasible for all of us.

Then I have follow up questions which probably requires a public poll on it if Slind green-lights the projects do we need to change the events every year or do you mind if we recycle them for next year?

 

Thank you for the feedback, yes this is up for changing, think of it as a backbone that needs meat adding to it.
@Sandstroem the walls modded version was an idea to use after the vanilla version to spice it up
@wyndman for the headaches this is why for the events most of the work for them starts a month before giving room for holidays and such

 

Yearly recycling likely wouldn't be much of an issue from a players' perspective, given the volume of events listed.

If one of you is bored and wants to make a full HQM event for a holiday I'm willing to take credit for your work.

 

Actually not a bad idea, my brain is already working on some ideas, I might get back to you about that.
