I and many other players have noticed that there is constantly lag on PO2K and I've seen tps as low as 6. Not sure if anything can be done to fix this but I thought I'd make a post about it.

It's actually still really bad.. When I got off about 20 minutes ago or what ever it was, it was because the lag was so unbearable I decided to stop playing.

What was the tps? Lag or lag spikes?

I'm unsure what the actual TPS was because I didn't check. How ever, the lag was definitely constant not just in spikes.

Earlier yesterday, I had to disable a farm that was causing some huge issues. The chunk was loaded and dropping thousands of items on the ground. Should have helped a little at least.

The question also, is it TPS or ping lag.

It's not the TPS lag that is the worst, it's the lagspikes. I tried flying around the Aether with a glider and floating armour, and that was just way too exciting with my 2 lives (now after quest-book was reset).

The whole experience is starting to become for the most masochistic out there (which I guess the pack caters to in the first place, but there are limits). Please see if you can find out what is causing the constant lagspikes.

I have no way of knowing, but it's certainly not my island. I'm still newly in to the pack.

Hello, I'm bringing current info about the PO2 kappa server.

It's been really laggy lately, 16 TPS CET in the morning going to 10 TPS around noon and reaching 5 TPS in the afternoon and evening. It all depends on who's logged in and some people can make the difference between 5 and 17 TPS.

Sometimes it takes 20-30 seconds for each login. That's something that I've noticed only on PO2 servers.

Fun fact and a warning: you can actually drop from Aether when sneaking on air mid-lag. Use a glider to recover or sneak right after you join the overworld dimension to have a chance to survive the drop.

I used to play on PO2 normal and it was much smoother. I guess the more machinery required the laggier it gets.

So I spent a good half an hour if not more fixing these issues today. Sadly it has a lot to do with people's farms and how the like to over due it. Either with a lot of sprinklers, growth pulsers, lily pad of fertility(s), and how they are harvested or collected. I got it up to around 18-19 today. The problem with this though is that a lot of the TPS issues only happen when certain players are online and chunkloading the problem chunks. Making it almost impossible to find some of the setups causing issues. Hopefully this helps though.

    Can we get a command helper script that;
    1. Blocks sprinklers within 6 blocks of each other.
    2. Same for lillypads.
    3. No more then 4 growth pulsers stacked on each other.
That might help with some of the lag.

Low tps with just a few people online. Would be nice if "laggers" were at least warned about their setups (or punished after few warnings). Some people think of it as a joke. There's a guy who logs in and the server goes from 20 to 13 tps and he sure cares very little about how much he's laggying everyone else :) But he definitely knows he's causing the lag.

All I will say is is try to avoid logistics pipes at all costs, especially making loops in them. Had to kill a setup that was taking 8 tps from the server on its own.
