Updating Blast Off and making it a MYM pack?

    there are ores in the normal blastoff they're in the spires in the landscape. I know the worldgen for that pack fairly well i was the one that brought its existance to minesheep's attention I think.

    @minesheep aesthetic mods can get fixed later. I usually rub as many as i can get away with out on install anyway. You should see what better foliage does to my ram card.

    but also, I'm seriously happy you're updating this... and you should see the beta version of the map if you haven't already. If you fly in creative out past a certain radius of your base, you end up with blocks from tinkers replacing ores, things like slime blocks and wool slabs and punji sticks.

    Not to mention I found an MCA baby in a chest in a rogue dungeon. Just please I'm begging you, leave the Generikb fanclub as a room that can spawn in rogue dungeons. I got such a laugh out of the "sweater" and cache of booze named potions.

    I'm also not sure if this should be mentioned but if you go to the nether, the MCA villagers that spawn there are supposed to be sheepmen from primitive mobs. Wandering nether traders. But I suppose whether or not to leave them is an aesthetic issue.

    man if i had the money I'd send you chocolates sheep, my hero!

    the only mods that are differenciating from the pack would be a couple of the left out mek addons and Rei's Minimap ( i wanted to avoid installing liteloader AND a minimap) and also OpenEye.[DOUBLEPOST=1482122362][/DOUBLEPOST]and yeah by this point i've given up on CMM and will attempt to re-sync the quest book, hopefully it'll work.[DOUBLEPOST=1482122406][/DOUBLEPOST]btw only part of custom main menu's i got to work was a little splash text at the bottom left of the screen... lol.[DOUBLEPOST=1482128656,1482122303][/DOUBLEPOST]i'm so freaking done xD i reloaded the pack to test some config changes, and first thing i see when i click on the loaded game is all the title screen changes. i'm thinking (is this not my testing page?) i look down and see the splash text that i changed. that confirmed it. why, CMM!? why!?[DOUBLEPOST=1482128798][/DOUBLEPOST]well anyway i'm attempting to port the quest book over to the new version, and i made some changes in config (you might like my little changes with tinkers)[DOUBLEPOST=1482128866][/DOUBLEPOST]just checked, quest book quests DID port over! yay! i don't have to recreate each and every quest by hand![DOUBLEPOST=1482129196][/DOUBLEPOST]so a few highlights, for one, questbook quests ported over 100% so that makes me happy. however, some custom items (ex. leaves cider) did not port over. will have to make necessary changes to reflect the neccesary outcome.[DOUBLEPOST=1482129268][/DOUBLEPOST]also i'm sure you'll all be glad to hear it no longer only takes a week for your hard earned food to spoil. it now takes 3 weeks. it's now more realistic. don't waste it!! food is preecious![DOUBLEPOST=1482129774][/DOUBLEPOST]alright, i copied over the textures for the HQM questbook and the config file for kawaiicrops (this should hopefully put leaves cider back in the game)[DOUBLEPOST=1482129864][/DOUBLEPOST]lol now i know the pains of doing a major update to a modpack... not everything wants to play nicely. i still have to figure out why the recipes didn't carry over >.<[DOUBLEPOST=1482130724][/DOUBLEPOST]ok, sooo leaves cider, still not showing up. that's annoying. however, i did manage to get the resource pack into the game. so that's a plus i suppose. (keep in mind the resource pack is for the quest book and gives the modified textures the QB uses)[DOUBLEPOST=1482131052][/DOUBLEPOST]just checked, afaik all the changes to tinkers that i wanted did reflect, such as vanilla pickaxes and some base pickaxes from other mods are unusable for anything but crafting. which means no just pulling out a wood pick and expecting to do something.[DOUBLEPOST=1482131117][/DOUBLEPOST]alright, same with all other base tools, so no wooden axes or wooden picks or shovels. you gotta use tinkers whether you like it or not! ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1482156331][/DOUBLEPOST]so it seems the reason that kawaii crops isn't displaying leaves cider and such is because it needs a resource pack with a textures set for the individual items... which means i'd have to locate where the originals are. and let me tell you, they're not in a resourcepack on the original... >.< why do mods have to change so much.[DOUBLEPOST=1482156379][/DOUBLEPOST]i might have to try and google some items... rip.[DOUBLEPOST=1482158505][/DOUBLEPOST]just tried to add mashed leaves back into the game. i had to make a recipe for it. this should go terribly! =D[DOUBLEPOST=1482181531][/DOUBLEPOST]yeah no. that didn't work. anyone experienced with getting items into the game? *cough* caithleen *cough cough*[DOUBLEPOST=1482181621][/DOUBLEPOST]or not, caithleen hasn't been on since july.[DOUBLEPOST=1482183206][/DOUBLEPOST]@BookerTheGeek btw only mods i might need permission for would be Rei's minimap, OpenEye, and since i can't make kawaii crops work, i'll edit the questbook and add pams harvestcraft (possibly disable the epic bacon)[DOUBLEPOST=1482185641][/DOUBLEPOST]Welp. this has gotta be the most disturbing thing i've found in a modpack. why it's disturbing to me, i don't know. but if you have to modpack installed, go into a world and grab yourself a "lost soul" (the reward bag of this modpack) right click it. you'll understand.[DOUBLEPOST=1482186270][/DOUBLEPOST]well until i can get some people together to help put this thing back into working order, i think i'll give updating a break for now. it's just gonna sit and gather dust lol.

    I'd actually suggest avoiding Pam's. Food is supposed to be a little difficult, and Pam's just adds in too much variety for a supposedly dead world.

    alright. i'd steer clear of the "reward.ogg" file in the original resource pack though xD[DOUBLEPOST=1482202720][/DOUBLEPOST]i mean i replaced the audio... but i can always upload the original alongside the rest of the pack[DOUBLEPOST=1482202813][/DOUBLEPOST]and as far as pams, my hope was to remove alot of the funny foods and nice things and really leave only a few food items. only certain trees can grow here (hence, it's a cold place, so rightfully so that only cold-hardy things can grow here!)[DOUBLEPOST=1482202876][/DOUBLEPOST]so anything that really grows in cold regions will be left in, but most everything else will be disabled is the idea. i would've stuck with kawaii crops but i couldn't get the config to work for the life of me.[DOUBLEPOST=1482203037][/DOUBLEPOST]also, i'll upload the entire pack. keep in mind, it's loaded in the 2nd latest version of forge. the latest version causes crashes on pack startup.[DOUBLEPOST=1482203123][/DOUBLEPOST]gonna compile the slightly modified version of the original pack and my updated version to the github you mentioned.[DOUBLEPOST=1482210696,1482202681][/DOUBLEPOST]@BookerTheGeek mind linking me the github? can't find it.

    not without a story explanation as to why you're magically able to get all these crops to show up. Botania could be explained away as mutant flowers but not this as its exactly (or nearly, sorry pam's you got a lot of plants very wrong compared to rl) like the old worlds.

    Maybe loot the seeds or something from the rogue dungeons and make the player do a scavenger hunt. or at least thats what I'd do. that and rename the pam's market "Svalbard 9000 seed bank vending machine."
