Looks like a world edit selection. If you type //deselect should go away

Do you have a Ring Of Loki / Ring Of The Aesir? Shift-rightclicking with one equipped will also cause this block-frame to render.

HelloKittyPhone, Kazeodori und Aidoneus gefällt das.

is the only way to get rid of this problem is to not wear the ring of aesir ?

You can shift-rightclick the blocks again to remove the frames (do the "lighter" frames first, as the "thickest" frame is the first one, and shift-rightclicking it with other frames up will start the next element in the setup)

However, yes. Only way to be free of this issue, is to not be wearing the Ring of Loki/Aesir at all. Shift-rightclicking with one equipped will always cause this phenomenon.

The Ring of Loki (and thus Ring of Aesir as well) has an ability very similar to a mix of WorldEdit & the Builder's Wands from Extra Utilities. It allows you to select an asymmetric region, block-wise, and place blocks from your inventory.
