It's not on the banned list, however none of the recipes are actually possible. This is because in order to use magical crops you must use experience essence seeds. In order to make experience essence seeds you have to be able to craft flim flam books In order to craft flim flam books you either need magical essense OR create them using books and emeralds. But if you try to make them using books and emeralds, they appear, but when you try to move them to your inventory they disappear. Is there some other way we are supposed to be able to get magical wood?
Maybe I am missing something? Are you only trying the Flim Flam enchantments? These are banned. You should be able to use any enchanted book to make magical wood and not just flim flam.

Magical wood should be able to be created with any enchanted book. However, as Aido said, flim flam books are banned therefore do no work on our server. Rest shouldn't be an issue. Happy gaming!
Not only does enchanted books work for making magical wood, so do all those enchanted items that your mob spawner drops. Just place them into the slots where the books show and you will get your magical wood. And you can get some good returns, depending on the enchantments. I think the best I have gotten is 10 magical wood for four enchanted items.
