Project Ozone | MineYourMind Community Can't believe this is my first post given how I've been on these servers for awhile, but, I digress... I ran into a fairly big issue with the Items List for Project Ozone 2. Now I know there's a banned list in place right in-game to keep problematic items from being used, but I made a big realization that a lot on this list seems to be... outdated. There are a lot of mods on this list that seems to be missing, and Avaritia or any of the higher-tier AE2 Cells come to mind. Given how they're not on the list (Or any other end-game item that should be on here, not just Avaritia), it makes me wonder if they're even allowed to be given or traded to other players. Whenever I have someone point out to me the End Game Items list, I look at it and think "Wait, so I'm allowed to give or trade a Sword of the Cosmos? Or Iron/Diamond/etc. Singularities? I could just grab a bunch of these overpowered items and turn a caveman into a colossal god!" This leaves me to be greatly confused on what I'm allowed to trade, and what I'm not allowed. I was hoping for confirmation if this is really is up-to-date without having to second-guess a really good trade, or one that could possibly get me banned?
First off, congrats on making your first forum post! Secondly, I can understand your point about the endgame items list, but as mods are updated and a pack evolves it causes any list to quickly start showing it's age. It is nearly impossible to create an exhaustive list of every item that has game flow altering impact if given/traded/sold to another player. A little common sense needs to be applied, and an item not being on the list is NOT the same as it being OK . There is a discussion thread HERE, that may help you to understand what we consider to be Endgame. My personal advise is if you are in doubt, don't trade it. This IS a game about building after all, and when you give a player an item that is the result of some long complex process, you are in effect removing their need to built the parts/machines for that process and negating that part of the pack's content/progression.
When it comes to HQM packs, or Better Questing the rule of thumb is, if you didn't start with it, don't trade it. That keeps the pack challenging for everyone.
i think it should be "if you can make it you can BE traded it" that way it makes it so you cant be traded stuff you cant make yet but can be traded say iron, or zombie flesh
Excellent in principle, but nearly impossible to enforce. I know it shocks me every time that there is a slim possibility that players may not be honest about their accomplishments.
