lately many people seem to be breaking their games with drives in bags despite the warnings, I kinda feel like the warnings should be a bit less ignorable. Like make it so you don't have to hold shift to see them, or even have a PSA in chat every now and then.
This is probly unnecessary (as are most of my ideas) but it could add some better prevention for little effort. ;)

Ohh this so gives me an idea.. Seriously though stop doing it, you have no idea how long it takes to fix this mess, and if you stuff things in an alchemical bag kiss the items goodbye because there's almost no way to restore them.

Well I guess that answers my age old question that I've been too scared to test about weither alch bags are safe or not for drives.
I've never had the problem myself cus I've seen too many forum posts on the problem :p

That's because people favor dollies and golden bags

Yah, I've done this, Funny thing is that when I read it, my understanding was, can't put dolly/golden bags inside your ME. Don't ask why XD

It may sound stupid, but even mention that the drive cannot be put back into the ME system itself. I was moving my base and picked up everything I owned (end game), and accidently 11x11'd my drivers wall. I panicked when all my 64ks poped out and shoved them all back into my ME system until i could get the drivers picked up again. To my horror were they not only cleared of all items, they were flat out not even there, empty or not. I was left with a music CD in there, and that alone.

I'll admit I did not know this till now. Thanks for helping me potentially avoid a disaster ;)
I've never had much reason in the past to try that and based on the reason that you can't put them in gold bags it makes sense. but you never know what my experiment crazed mind may do sometimes.

Don't shove them in cardboard boxes either... that extraction took hours to complete.

By going back and forth. An empty player inventory can hold a lot. An ender chest would probably work, too. But I'm not 100% sure.

I feel like there may be a chance that vanilla enderchests may break the game based on how they work. but I'm not sure about ender storage ones. Anyway that's off topic.
The main point of this thread was to suggest that the warning about drives in mobile inventorys be more noticeable to people. Because despite the warning there's still people doing this and breaking their games semi regularly.

I'd like to say based off my own experience that you can safely store ME drives in Ender Chests (modded) and transfer that way. most efficient way to move a ton of drives from one base to another? have an iron+(+ being any chest above iron) or a double chest filled with drives, then simply pump them into a privated ender chest. go to your new location and retrieve the drives there. simple.

Lol give em the drives and capture em with a lasso or net XD sounds so cool yet impractical.

EnderChests from EnderStorage are safe the last time i tested.
They don't store the data on the client side.

Is vanilla enderchest/alch bag client side tho?

Hmm that gave me an idea for a potential dupe glitch. I wouldn't try it in a server of corse. I just like testing glitches.
Well now that I think of it there's is about a 0% chance that the mod dev didn't think of this already so nvm on that.

    Hmmm
    That means is server side...
Wait a sec, if the reason the drives in bags breaks the game is because it overloads the player data or something like that, then if you put enough drives in an enderstorage chest, would it break the server?
