So i have been playing around with modding minecraft to 1.10, and since i like learning by doing, i was wondering if any of you had ideas what mod/concept/thingy i could implement next. Have a nice day
Can you make a mod called Agrocraft that has sprinklers which explode in a 5x5 chunk radius if you put two of them in adjacent blocks?
Short answer, pretty bad I have been coding on/off for some time, mostly creating something small because it would be fun/ease a task, and i actually had a simple mod in the hypovolemia modpack, but i am not particular skilled in programming in or out of minecraft. But shoot away, its when you push your boundaries you learn something new
I would say then that, yeah it's a good idea to push your boundaries. So you have to learn the fundamentals before you take on a big task like reading someones mod and figure out what you have to change to make it work. If I where you I would try and recreate the mod before I/you tried to alter it to better understand it.

Ok here's a simple enough one. It's basically a copy of projectE but it could be good practice. So here in modding-ish terms: assign a value for items depending on the total values of the items used to craft it. Base items would be valued manually. And you can melt down items into their values and store them as such. Then you can make any item provided you have enough value stored. Like I said it's just ProjectE but you could also add some nerfs like each conversion wasting a % of the value used in it, or having a chance of failing. And then you could steal from thaum a bit and add stabilizers to reduce the chance of failure and increase efficiency. And yes maybe I am a bit obsessed with those 2 mods but a lot of people here already knew that It also keeps with the recreating mods theme.
Invisible sand that falls from the sky that doesn't show up on waila so you have no clue it's there until you go to build there. And an even bigger troll make it hard to mine or really troll like, unbreakable.
I like Sandy's idea.. exploding sprinklers! Oh and if you put more than twenty speed upgrades in an item node can you have it destroy the surrounding one hundred blocks!
What I think a cool concept would be is a way to see all the resources that you would need to craft an item when you look at the recipe in nei. Idk if you could make that into a mod or not though.
O how about placeable potions? So you add something to a potion in a brewing stand, let's say an enderpearl, and that allows you to place down the potion as a fluid, and while your in it you get that buff.
