I get 40 fps on crash landing and 150+ on vanilla, yet i only get 5fps on ftb ultimate lowest settings used. It use to work a few months back at 30fps.

I've always given it 1gb ram, the same for CL and vanilla yet now I get fps lag.

    Thanks in advance

    We talking 1.4.7 FTB Ultimate?

If so, then you will want to use optifine on that version. I recommend 2GB of ram for that pack also.
There use to be a "Buildcraft patch" for that pack, something to do with the pipe... maybe look into that as well.

Not exactly something we support, but again adding more RAM to FTB ultimate may solve your issue since it is a larger pack then vanilla and crash landing

Tried optifine, did nothing. Has 2.5GB ram given to it the same as CL DW20 Modpacks and anything else I play unless It defo needs more tham 3GB

FTB Ultimate 1.4.7... no such thing as fastcraft

I did a quick google on this topic (Maybe you have doen so too) as I don't have ea lot of time as of writing but a few methods I found were:
ultimate FPS increasing | Feed the Beast
    This post in general
Do not use the extrabiomes option (Maybe remove it entirely)
Don't use translucent/transparent blocks (No clue)
    Increase ram (Obviously)

You'll have to go from there, sorry
