i been playing in mym for a long time and i think that mym network lack quest based modpacks ( i know there is few but they are old modpacks and i am looking for something fresh ( dont really like forever stranded ...) hope in near future me and other players who like quest based modpacks will see more of them
If you have some ideas I'd love to hear them as a big questing pack fan myself. Last one I suggested was space astronomy which may still make a showing.
well i would like any modpack with nice quests and quest rewards ( would like Craft of the titans ) its fairly new has many quests works with minecraft 1.10 and a bit hardcore ... but where is the fun without a challenge
A modpack that I have been following that looks promising would be Simple Life 2, the mod pack dev is pretty active in discord and it gets updated regularly. The Simple Life 2 - HQM - Adventure and RPG - Minecraft Modpacks - Curse
Other than that I am still missing some cool pack that totally changes progression and worldgen, like Regrowth or Hypovolemia did. A lot of the 1.10 packs tend towards Exploration and Combat, as Sprout and Invasion does, which is not really what I prefer. Also those modpacks usually don't work well on MyM.
Craft of the titans suffers from the same issue as invasion, progressive difficulty. Since the pack is based around the mod, that is mobs getting more powerful as the player does it isn't possible to just remove it, but it also destroys the chances of a new player having a good experience on the server.
i just downloaded simple life 2 and it looks like modpack i would play for a very long time ( no in single player mode i would love to see it in MYM network do your magic and help us both to have awesome time playing it
Sadly we don't have the awesome hqm mod from 1.7. Not that the current better questing is bad it just needs a lot of work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've been fooling around with simple life, and so far it seems like it should be able to fit into our group. Though we're currently testing another pack at the moment.
I'm not certain, but I think the pack dev mentioned it using a player-specific local difficulty, in that mobs' strength is based on the highest difficulty of the highest nearby player, rather than a world-based difficulty. Edit: The mod used is Scaling Health, which notes the per-player difficulty in its features. I personally still wouldn't suggest the pack for an MyM server as a large portion of the pack's balance is dependent on the ability of the mobs to destroy player constructions.
I'm just not sure how minecolonies will play out on the server, they take a lot or real estate and not sure how performance intense they are
