Idk why but since the start of my forever stranded journy i have felt like something was missing. I went into a single player world and found two things that we do not have access to. A town and a meteorite crash site. I feel like we should be given a kit for the items we cannot get because if the server layout. I created 3 singleplayer worlds and looted both the town and the meteorite and the loot was mostly the same everytime. I picked the not so op loot run for a better kit. I've mixed emotions on adding another kit just to expedite the play on Forever Stranded. So let me go over it for you. When we launched this server we were one of the only, if not only network to take on the project. I talked to GWSheridan while we were setting up the server to get his input on the matter. He wished us luck as the pack was designed to be a single player, or small party based pack not a massive undertaking. On the original map nothing is randomly placed, each city, dungeon and surprise was placed their by his hand which is why your loot etc is always so very consistent. The meteors for example provide you with an entire functioning AE system, that's not something we would be able to duplicate. There is also an issue of carving away a majority of the challenge of the pack by just handing you loot from the start of the game. This is why we have an end game list for our packs to temper skipping over entire sections of the pack.
Would it be possible to make the loot an unlockable kit, using perhaps some item from around that point in progression to unlock? Would miss out on the exploration aspect, but at least makes it obtainable from within progression. Alternatively the SSP world could possibly be used as a second, non-building world, with the relevant major loot chests replaced with a sign to unlock the kit for it. Not sure how complicated this would be due to my wilful ignorance of sponge plugins , but this would allow for the originally intended experience.
