    Oooh a testing pack!
Does this mean I am free to break the server with my usual glitch finding with no regret?

Anyway idk if it's updated to 1.12.2 yet but I would love to see the mod PSI in the pack
Psi - Technology - Minecraft Mods - Curse
It adds customizable programmable spells to the game, I like to think of it like a cross between ars magica and computer craft.

Personally I don't think there's enough open world low recourse packs (like regrowth)

    Rotarycraft and tha... Wait...

Mod: Overview - Embers - Mods - Projects - Minecraft CurseForge
A pretty original magic mod with great aesthetics

Mod: Overview - Immersive Engineering - Mods - Projects - Minecraft CurseForge
Tech mod with detailed multiblocks instead of 1x1 metal cubes. A lot of features were added since the 1.7.10 release

Mod: Overview - Roots - Mods - Projects - Minecraft CurseForge
    Magic mod with exploration elements.

    Mod:Overview - Silent's Gems - Mods - Projects - Minecraft CurseForge
A tools and armor mod that is not terrible.
What I want from the mod pack:
A cool and good modpack, maybe with progression altered to force the player to use mods that are not the easiest/most efficient.

once 1.12.2 is the mainstream modpack zone, I'd love to play this pack. my mod suggestions? just watch how fast someone shoots down my ideas because they like... other, mods.
Overview - Applied Energistics 2 - Mods - Projects - Minecraft CurseForge (Yes, this DID get a 1.12 port)
(I am now awaiting the raging player base who says Refined Storage is better, and I can bet you over half of those people haven't even used AE2 xD )

I'm not a big fan of Psi... It's one of those Over Powered mods... I really think the only reason it gained a bunch of popularity is because of the vacuum left behind by Thaumcraft no longer being updated for newer versions of MC... The lack of up to date magic mods is leaving a gap that folks are filling with unbalanced mods... The 1.10 and 1.12 leap has left some very popular mods behind as their authors are either no longer supporting new versions, or refuse to let someone else take the reigns...

I'ld really like to see more mainstream Quest based Modpacks available that are not keyed towards Hard Core play... Age of Engineering was fun, but far too Hard Core to become super popular and be played by a majority of the MC playerbase... Forever Stranded falls into the same category of Hard Core due to it's unforgiving nature... 1.6 and 1.7 had tons of Quest based Modpacks, but I'm hopeful that given time the same will hold true for 1.10 to 1.12...

For me at least, Quest based packs give a greater sense of direction and progression, that most kitchen sink packs just don't offer... While KS packs, without questing, offer more freedom, you tend to see players skip to the most powerful endgame content very quickly without experiencing all a pack has to offer, and consequently they burn out quickly and move on to something else or they go the other extreme; by going overboard and adding lag to a server with unnecessary overpowered building either to impress others or to prove they can be OP without a care as to the harm they're causing for others... Neither of the two scenarios offer much to that packs server communities as the turn over of players is much higher...

There is a test pack up on the curse launcher.

It is missing a lot of mods... but it is a good start.
Let me know if there are any compatability issues.. ect.

This is currently an issue with Botania. I will add it again once it is resolved.

I like RS better myself, I found it was much easier to setup than AE for some reason.

I have to agree. Although it is a bit limited compared to AE2

The pack is on the Curse launcher if anyone wants to play around with it.
As i said before, as more mods update.. more will be added.

If anyone has any config tweaks they would like to recommend, post them here.

But on the other side, AE2 is more fun, and challanging, since you can't get everything right away. I'd like AE2 to stay, as its polished and beautiful mod.

I have always like these mods but not many packs use them:

    LotsOmobs
    HardcoreDarkness

I believe they both have been updated to 1.12 and adds a bit to the gaming experience but at the same time is not game changing.

I would like to see something that you can't get from the majority of our current packs, such as mods not used often
