I need the following from any testers that want to play. -Progression Balance issues (Mainly resources and mining) -Difficulty balances (health, food, weapons, mobs) -Overpowered items (list them all and why they are op)
I am rather curious about what uses Extreme Reactors will have, as I don't really see any RF using mods aside from Forestry, and that mod doesn't use a whole lot... it'd make a single, 3x3x3 reactor super OP because it uses so little. Also, maybe somewhat simplistic tech mods? usually EnderIO fits this role quite well. and maybe AE2? dunno, just going off the fact you got Tech Reborn on the modlist. which I think entitles this pack to some much later game tech mods such as the aforementioned AE2 and/or the Thermal Expansion Family? again, these mods would be SUPER late game.
Reactors will be for Forestry/ Gendestry mainly I plan to make them use a lot of power when i go over the mid/end game balance. As for Thermal Expansion... it is used way too much, so i dont plan to use it.
Ender IO has not updated to 1.12.2 yet but no plans to use it. I plan to add Immersive Engineering when it updates. This pack is very light went it comes to mining ability. You would need to play it to understand. [doublepost=1506641526,1506639476][/doublepost]I will remove Extreme Reactors for now. [doublepost=1506701641][/doublepost]1.0.3 Changed heath balance. You start with 5 hearts. BUT you can gain 1 heart for every 10 new foods, up to 30 hearts. Removed Weather mod, bad on performance. Added davincuis vessels - Ship mod Added Good Ol' Currency- For future economy Added Blockcraftery- Like carpenter blocks for 1.12.2 Removed the health effects for low health (was an issue when starting out and not gathered resources to get first aid items)
Kinda. I am still waiting for TFC to update.... hopes are not high though. I am currently in the balancing stage of the pack. Cross mod intergration To eliminate bypasses in progression. If you would give feedback, i would appreciate it. [doublepost=1506782995,1506714788][/doublepost]I need some feedback about economy. I am using Good Ol' Currency. (if there is a better Economy mod, let me know below) Some ideas i have are -Add currency trades to Pam's Market (maybe sell seeds or gold)(Convert to money) -Build a Pre-fab shop that buys items from farming (Pam's, Forestry, Animal drops) -Find a way to add money to Minecraft comes alive -Add money to mob drops (or ability to sell mob heads...ect)
I loaded it up, felt lost and quit shortly there after. Is there some sort of direction we should be heading in as an end goal. I'd add a basic guide to let players know what is going on, either a basic HQM or a loose guide as seen in Age of Engineering.
I am waiting on HQM to update. But the video in the original post is the way to begin. The pack is about surviving and building. With nature in mind. The "End Goal" of the pack is to just enjoy it. My main issue with modded minecraft in its current state... is the "need" for an end goal, people forget to just enjoy minecraft. But if you want a goal maybe some of the following. -Fusion reactor -Get 30 hearts from eating 250 differant food types -Get all bees -Get all trees -Get all butterflies -Start a family and create a village with npc working for you *I need to know which mod on the list is adding Damage indicators. I kinda want to disable it, but i dont remember which mod enables it. [doublepost=1506807937,1506790962][/doublepost] Recent update is a "little" easier when it comes to processing wood but overall, this pack is more about the exploring of "what" can be done. I feel if i add a full guide, people would follow only that and not find there own way. There are a few ways to progress once you pass the flint stage, That progression, i want to leave up to the player. [doublepost=1506831743][/doublepost]Version 1.1.5 Balanced Health of healing items from Rough Tweaks Reduced Plant and animal spawns for balance and performance Added Advanced launchers.
This pack seems like a nice pack, but yeah it needs some sort of questline its boring there is no goal ...
well, technically the goal is to defeat both the wither and the ender dragon. but a goal isn't really an endpoint. a goal is nice to have in any modpack; an endpoint is really not suited for anything other than modpacks designed for it.
If anyone is good with this mod Overview - Enchiridion - Mods - Projects - Minecraft CurseForge And would like to write some quests, that would be cool. But as i stated above still waiting on HQM or Better Questing to update. There is still a bit of balancing to do in the pack, mainly the early game and hunger. [doublepost=1506876049,1506841751][/doublepost] Your goal is to be cleaver and find a way to get to the "end game" mining tools. Just getting past flint is a challange but can be out smarted. (hint: Trades or Nether or Shipping Bin) Shipping Bin | HarvestCraft Wiki | FANDOM powered by Wikia This is the route i took. I found a village, gained a new friend that i could trade with (takes a gold heart level friendship to trade (gift them items)) Got an emerald, crafted a Shipping bin and started getting more emeralds. Then made emerald tools. #OutOfTheStoneAge I guess you can buy pass that with a forestry villager. But either way, thats one way. I think there are about 6 or 7 different ways to get out of the stone age. Can you figure them all out? [doublepost=1506877738][/doublepost]1.1.7 Removed Rustic since plants adds ways to make potions similar Balanced wood early game, you now need a saw and cutting tool to get planks and sticks. Use a Hatchet and a log to make a crafting bench to start. [doublepost=1506879718][/doublepost]I am starting to think the villagers should require 50 hearts to trade, since it is 100 to marry. Or what do you all think? [doublepost=1506952737][/doublepost]Todays task, balancing world spawn. Since ore and dusts smelts to nuggets, i think i will increase ore spawns 3x the amount and size of nodes. To make mining fun.
Yes and no. Smelting ingot or dust gives one nugget. BUT when you think about it... how many ingots do you have in your storage system that you will never use? I increased the ore spawn to large veins and increased their rate. But mining is not the only way to get items, you could always trade with the MCA villagers or have them go out gathering for you. End game would be a UU-Matter system to get any item you want. Or forestry bees for the same reason but up until that point, every machine that you make, you will feel like you earned. I may add an Ore Shrubs mod, to farm some ores but i am unsure of that yet. The current world i am playing in is about 12hrs old. I have a generator, macerator and a nice food farm going. It feels rewarding to walk into my base and see those machines. With Pam's Shipping bin, i am selling my crops for emeralds, then making trades with villagers. I am also about to marry my first wife. Maybe my child will be a miner When i do the final balance pass, i may make ore= 2-3 nuggets. [doublepost=1506998742,1506997246][/doublepost]@mrminesheeps Ok, in my current "build" version 1 Ore= 1 nugget 1 Dust= 3 nuggets So with the right machines 1 ore= 1 ingot
New update balances ores a bit more. Spawns are very dense. Balances the recipes for medical supplies to reflect the ore to nugget recipes. (easier)
1.3.1 Better Questing Added -My First Day: Basic quest on how to begin the pack. Will add more as i play.
I don't see a large storage mod, are there plans to add a large storage mod such as refined storage or AE2? Or are we stuck w/ iron chests, multi-storage 'n' drawers. I personally am lazy so idk.
Currently there are no plans to add those mods. I have never been a fan of one block "store it all" machines. I am waiting for compact storage to update. but with the current mods -Iron chest -Storage drawers -Multistorage -Refined relocation There is more than enough storage.
