Hi, im a little new in the sv, and i want to suggest adding an in-game bulletin board-like function, so everyone can post requests of sth, and limitate it to only 5 posts p/person p/day, and to have at least 2h in the sv so you can use it, also, i want this one to dont have language limitations, because there is a lot of spanish people on the server, and everybody should use it
Like a place or something in game, in the survival spawn, where you can place signs, or a menu where you can write something in a book and post it, and you can request things, like items, and if somebody have it, he will send it tou you, and you will send the reward, and you can delete a post at any time, its a way to improve trade with others, and if somebody is new and wants someone to help him, he can post ot too, and you can reply by @ someone or quoting he, like in a forum post, but in-game i dont think i have seen something like this on a sv before, so it would be a really nice addition to the sv
Interesting concept, sort of a bulletin board posted somewhere publicly as a trading post. Provided such a plugin exists it may have a few issues, players believe or not can be naughty and post inappropriate things on signs, I suspect this would not be an exception to their behavior. It would potentially be another issue of trading end game items. So for now, you could just ask around in chat for items, or if the server has a /market you could always use that to trade items.
There likely won't be anything without language restrictions as it would be confusing and hard to moderate.
Players are lazy when it comes to public infrastructure on non-anarchy servers. This is proved by the lack of marketplaces on market disabled servers.
The only server I can think of which included a computers mod and no market plug-in is Beyond, which had a pretty complex computerised market system set up around a month into the server's lifespan.
There are two PO2 servers with ComputerCraft and no community marketplace (despite the pack is long and a market would be legal if it had a progression check). Also it's possible without CC, just requieres some redstone.
Well, unfortunately Ben85's Market was lost, as it was a pre-reset structure. However, if more people played on Beyond, I could say there /may/ be a market I'm prototyping that is using AE2 and, believe it or not, IC2 as it's infrastructure. #NeedmorepeopleonBeyondit'sgettingboringonhere [doublepost=1509031061][/doublepost]Now, Ben85's market, if I had to guess, utilized OpenComputers, which I would NEVER be able to learn without dedicating a few days to the craft. However, I know AE2, and I figured out a certain thing in IC2, and my current prototype trade system, although it has some quirks, it functions. It'll also be a showcase of why AE2 is better than RS, too, because I love AE2 and AE2 is bae. [doublepost=1509031143,1509030653][/doublepost]I also have to manage a proper economy, and try to erase loopholes. this should be fun.
Honestly, any pack with ic2 or forestry already has everything you need for a player run market place. Such as the on I am planning for infinity expert even if it is not needed because it is fun and something to do.
