For real though, I've found MYM to be a fantastic network. I've stuck with you guys for years now, not even bothering to try other networks because of how well everything is kept at a high quality. There's really only so much you can expect from these networks run by a bunch of people, sometimes young teenagers, putting in work during their spare time and despite that, MYM comes across as very professional. I've always felt that I get quick responses from the ticket system and I've personally never had a problem with any staff member. On top of that I love the features of the website including the showcase, ticket system and the live server list which is incredibly useful when figuring out what modpack to start based on popularity and tickrate. But really, more than anything, I'm a big fan of how you guys only seem to ban items if they break the server, cause too much lag or break claims, like you say. There are just far too many networks and server owners who think they know how to balance modpacks better than the modpack creators, removing anything that they consider to be OP(resource crops, any flying, digital miners, quarries, various weapons/armours, etc.), leaving a dull and muted experience. So thanks for all the work you guys do!
Since Divine Journey has most of the votes, I would like to suggest a few things. 1: Add some form of unlimited corrupted shards to the market, whether it be spawn eggs or spawners or just the shards itself. This is because in my experience, the mobs that drop the corrupted shards barely spawn and makes the first few mysterious clocks you have to make a very slow and painful process. Not to mention on a server, there will be more players hunting said mob. 2: Add runic dungeon keys to the market. This is due to obvious reasons, whether it being those stinking empty hallways or just the whole mod breaking in general. 3: Boss chambers or at least a limit to the number of bosses that can be spawned per player because honestly, we don't need 100 "Ancient Entity"s lagging up the server. And that's about it.
But think about it: Very near the start, you have hours and hours of waiting for a single mob to spawn, multiple times in order to progress. And powered spawners are very, very late game.
same, i'm gonna have a pretty large town, already have a concept for a power plant to feed energy to the whole town. Though it's gonna be one hell of a grindfest lol
I have a bad feeling about this - 20-30 large towns and 5 TPS as everyone is going ham to set up their operations large enough to suit the pack.
