Any update from Admin/Owner about the suggestions posted here by players, if they've chosen some of the suggestions for better names for tiers, and most importantly, any ETA on when these changes will take effect? We haven't gotten a new modpack in quite a while now, I'm assuming it's in part being held back due to these required changes.
We don't have an ETA for implementation nor how it is done in detail. There is a lot that depends on how complex it is. Most likely it won't be a single roll out, more a step by step. I'm afraid there aren't really any good new packs available. Do you know some? (1.12 isn't really production ready, yet)
I disliked god / fly from the start... Why not just remove them? I just don't have a goal to work to then.
Well I like fly / god. So we should not remove. Like it’s been said before if you don’t like it then don’t use it. Due to a lot of people not liking the fly and god mode stuff there should be a command so that person can disable “server perks” for themselves with a penalty timer before they can decide to reenable them. Timer can be either a week, a month or more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's not that I don't like fly and god, but end dragons get killed within the first hours of a server... There is absolutely no fun in that! Where is the challenge? I want to be good at something. If it's just a competition on who gets the most enderman spawns in the first night. That doesn't motivate me.
Probably the biggest issue with fly and god is that it completely defeats the purpose of progression in certain packs. In most packs its acceptable, but in anything combat focused it defeats the entire point of getting better gear when you are literally invincible and can fly infinitely with no work. And while that is the players choice to ruin their own fun, why are the anti-trading rules in place? To stop people from ruining their own fun, which is allowed with fly and god?
Why are we arguing about fly and god? I mean, personally, it's to each their own. You wanna use /fly? Go right on ahead! You wanna be the human embodiment of a tank on steroids, go ahead. It's not like it's unfair to everyone else, especially if they can do it, too. Not sure what the complaints are about. If you don't wanna use fly or god, fine, don't use them. Not like there's a gun being pointed at your head with the wielder telling you to use them. You got the choice, use it, or no. But don't be the one to ruin it for everybody because a couple people don't like it. It only makes sense to appeal to the majority, rather than the minority.
We could also put or heads together and make on for 1.10 I have a lot of ideas and best of all no draconic evo to over powered
Ok, if you're gonna make a modpack, don't dis-include draconic evo just cause' you don't like it. That'll alienate a good few players. Because unless it's some pack where one goal is surviving and survival is supposed to be difficult, draconic evo aint "overpowered". Nothing wrong with not wanting to die and lose your stuff. If you don't like it, don't use it. simple as that.
ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY DRAC EVO ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY DRAC EVO ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY DRAC EVO ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY DRAC EVO ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY DRAC EVO ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY DRAC EVO ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY DRAC EVO. Modpack creators have the freedom to do whatever they want and balanced their packs in any way they want. This included being able not to include mods with terrible textures and balancing which are mostly popular beacuse of YouTube. Also, alienating players is not a problem. It's creating a product for a certain audience. If you are making a strategy game, you shouldn't worry about alienating FPS game fans and small children. If you are making a balanced modpack, you shouldn't worry about alienating people who think unbalanced=fun. [doublepost]sample text[/doublepost] This test is in white. You are not supposed to read it unless somehow quoted je, but this is never gonna happen so this will hopefully remain a secret. I have an idea about server upgrade: What about if they had a chance to reward users points that could be exchanged for ranks (in HUGE amounts) when activated? Overpowered means that its too strong for what you need to do to unlock it, not just that its powerful. Considering the work you need to do to get to draconic armor on most mod packs, I wouldn't say its too much.
As the word is not an official part of any official english dictionary, nor did an specjalist define it, the highest authority is the highest ratings Urban Dictionary definition, which is:
With the bosses added by Drac. Evol., The weapons and armor it adds are not, by your definition, more power than needed. Edit: Yes, by normal minecraft mobs and bosses, its powerful, but if we wanted normal minecraft bosses and mobs to be the only challenge, then we wouldn't need mods.
