can we get claims enabled in the end on infinity normal. i built a public enderman farm and it was griefed. i think most people don't build simple public farms is because there is no way to prevent the spawners from being stolen. i would use the thaumcraft warding foci but that does not work on conduits and machines.
You don't need to use spawners. Just go off far away and use cursed earth with fans or something. Since it's the end only endermen will spawn on the cursed earth and if you are away from any island the only place for them to spawn is on your little cursed earth platform.
I think you missed his point though... he said he made a public farm. Meaning it should be accessible to all (yet not griefable). Moving it far away makes it still public, but if ppl dont know where it is, then it kind of defeats the meaning of public use. Tbh i also think there should be the ability to claim in the end. Obviously claims should be limited to a maximum size of no more than 100-250 blocks, because otherwise players would claim the entire end.
Personally, I'm all for having claims in the End, but won't they get deleted or something when it (the End) resets?
Claims get deleted when a dimension is reset, but after the map has been regenerated, the claimed areas should be re-applied again.
i think having claims in the end defeats all purpose. what happens if your not trusted on a claim and the enderdragon flies over it? "sorry you do not have permissions to do that" u wont be able to kill it! i dont think you should be allowed claims in the end.
I would have to agree with dragon players would'nt be able to kill a dragon or use any type of weapon or tool near the claim. I also think claims should not be implemented in the end.
What aboot only being able to claim on coords greater than 500 in all directions except y? Is that true? And does it mean it's possible to build in the Nether?
Would it be feasible to have claimable and non-resetting copies of these dimensions for the purpose of mob farms and the like? Obviously some mods (DE for example) would still require access to the original, resetting dimensions, but it could help since I see this issue crop up semifrequently.
The nether also resets monthly, the end is a weekly reset, this just opens the door to even more frustration on the player who builds a setup and it gets removed with a reset because the claim allowed a false sense of security that it would stay. With a short reset time you don't see a lot of traps etc built because you know come Saturday morning it is going to get wiped.
No, you're adding another copy of a DIM which just adds to additional server resources being required to maintain it. You're also forgetting that if a DIM like the end wasn't reset you wouldn't have much of a DIM left after a week. If endstone had any value on the pack the entire first island would be mined out, by the third week you'd have cobble monsters strewn everywhere with ender pearl farms. While it sounds great it theory in practice the area quickly devolves.
Here is the deal, We have had problems in the past with players claiming the End Portal where the dragon egg spawns after killing the dragon. I am not keen on enabling the claims in the end again due to similar issues.
