I know the idea has been loosely suggested on the Divine journey server launch thread, but I wanted to make an official suggestion for it, as well as a place to openly discuss it. As you know, the decision to make the Divine Journey(DJ) server patron exclusive was a bit controversial to put it lightly. And it doesn’t help that most people were expecting for it to be available to everyone. But that doesn’t matter, and this thread is not for morality arguments. What matters is that as it stands now, the current cheapest option for patron is €10.00/month(roughly 12.30$/month) Which adds up to €120.00/year($148.00/year) looking at it that way it isn’t too hard to see why people don’t want to buy patron just for access to one server (even with all the hype for it) And with the news that there may be more patron exclusive servers in the future, I would like to suggest some alternatives. I suggest that one or more of the following options, or a variation of them, for accesssing patron exclusive servers be considered 1. A cheaper option for patron (perhaps €5/month or even less,) which could give no patron perks at all except for access to the servers. 2. A one time purchase (perhaps €25 per patron server) which would give the customer permanent access to any one patron server of their choice (they would have to spend €25 more to access a second patron server) 3. Discounted one year patron passes, this would be like a subscription that could be renewed yearly instead of monthly, and would be a lower total price (ex, €80 for a whole year instead of €10 per month which would be €120 per year if you do not cancel the subscription) Overall I personally believe that if there will be more patron exclusive servers in the future, then patron access should be made more available to people. I for one am hugely against monthly subscriptions, that does not mean I think they are a bad idea, or that they are wrong, it just means that, for my own reasons, I have a personal policy against subscribing to them. However I don’t have a problem at all with one time purchases (I bought tier5 for instance before the whole Mojang crisis made it unavailable) This whole tread could of course be passed off as just some guy who doesn’t like subscriptions trying to get a better deal, and I wouldn’t blame you for thinking that, but I would ask that something like this is seriously considered before it is decided against. Obviously the prices I have used as examples are just that, examples, and would likely be adjusted. any other suggestions are welcome.

Hmm interesting to see that the poll is almost even on all the options (although I don’t remember enabling multiple votes, hope that isn’t messing with the results too much. Too bad I can’t disable it now)
TBH the only ones that really contradict each other are the first and second, as well as the 'none' option. The rest could feasibly be implemented together as separate options.
