Done Chickens

I'm not sure if its other animals but all my chickens keep just disappearing for no reason?

 

No doubt you are hitting the entity count, there is a limit to the amount of mobs both passive and aggressive in a 9x9 chunk area.

 

Probably these fluid cows that spawn everywhere. it just strange it keeps taking my chickens and nothing else for the most part.

 

Does clearing out the fluid cows allow them to spawn again?
