Hi there, I am creating this on behalf of GeneralMman. He has used the RFtools Spawner to try and summon the dragon in the end. He has followed the guide and has had no luck with the dragon spawning. Is there a way to find out if the dragon can be spawned using RFtools in the End? as the alternative is alot harder (resurrection stone) I have checked everything out and as far as i can tell its setup correctly with beams going from matter beamers to spawner, and correct materials. Much appreciated dragon87tamer
Did you try it in single player? It may very well be disabled as the pack is intended to be difficult.
It was disabled quite a while ago - wither bosses too. I believe BookerTheGeek did it (the disabling) back when we were spawning dragons with them on Infinity Expert node 4... mostly because of the possibility of wither bosses being able to be made in the overworld and used for griefing.
@WurgerSD You called? Lol. We did not remove the ability but just increase the cost to be prohibitive due to the amoint of material required. And yes it was done as the mod did not have a dimensional blacklist and allowed spawning if the wither and end dragon in the overworld.
Would another option be to add the placement rule like bc pumps, bc quarry, ender quarry, etc. where they only let you place the blocks down in certain dimensions? Make the spawner only able to be placed in the nether and maybe the end as well? Those things all have what looks like to the end-user (that's me) something very unified making that rule. Is that something we should be requesting in another thread?
rftools spawners can be used to spawn passive mobs as well...which makes limiting them to specific dims alot harder....maybe limiting the rftools syringes that have the specified mob(end dragon, wither)..to only be allowed to be placed in the machine in certain dims (dont know if thats possible)
I thought about that too and should have mentioned it in my previous post. In the few years I have played on MyM, I can count on one hand how many people I have seen use the rf tools spawner... and have fingers left over. That is why I figured limiting it to those two dimensions wouldn't cause any whining.
that is very true WurgerSD, not many people do use it...maybe you could limit it to those 2 dims...maybe think about adding it to a void world too? maybe... XD
Not sure where this was disabled, the only thing I could find is this: Code: mobspawnrf { I:Bat=100 I:Blaze=1000 I:Blizz=1000 I:"Cave Spider"=500 I:Chicken=500 I:Cow=800 I:Creeper=800 I:Dragon=999999999 I:Enderman=2000 I:Ghast=2000 I:Horse=1000 I:"Iron Golem"=2000 I:"Magma Cube"=600 I:Mooshroom=800 I:Ocelot=800 I:Pig=800 I:Sheep=800 I:Skeleton=800 I:Slime=600 I:Snowman=600 I:Spider=500 I:Squid=500 I:Villager=2000 I:Wisp=2000 I:Witch=1200 I:Wither=999999999 I:Wolf=800 I:Zombie=800 I:"Zombie Pigman"=1200 }
Wither=999999999 Dragon=999999999 The defaults are Dragon=100000 Wither=20000 That must be what Booker was mentioning. So you have to make a whole lot of RF to spawn them... I thnk the UI in game still shows the default values for mobspawnamounts and livingmatter
That is correct. The values were raised as it bypasses the wither plugin my m uses allowing both the ender dragon and wither to be spawned anywhere. So we bumped up the cost.
@BookerTheGeek The mym wither plugin rule - Is there more to it than a wither should be created anywhere else but the nether? This is kinda why I bring up - what if the block could be placed only in the nether ? The RF tools spawner versus minefactory reloaded, draconic evolution and enderio spawners it is almost never ever used. Are there any packs where this is the only spawner option and restricting it to the nether and end would break something? Questions to check on before making a suggestion post so that this spawner can again be used for these bosses in the appropriate dimensions.
@WurgerSD The issue is that the Wither is related to only being allowed to be spawned in any dimension Other then the Overworld. Mainly this is due to the fact that people could place a wither next to your base, and then it would destroy blocks. Same with the ender dragon. Is this machine the only way to spawn mobs in the pack?
That and draconic...but due to limitations and gated mods...everything is alot harder to access..earliest type of mob spawned seems to be rftools..besides vanilla spawners
