So i'm usually good with mods but what is missing is my skill in building aesthetically. Im hate it when all the stiff is and machines is laying around without a specific room it just looks really garbage. So if someone is interested in building with me dont mind contacting me This is what i came up with by now and i'd like to have a similar theme in the whole base: Btw, it's on revelations
On Rev you can used Chisel, Chisel & Bits and Flat Coloured Blocks. All of these mods are designed to allow you more options for nice looking designs. From the picture you provided I do not really see a theme here yet so I will instead ask you some questions so you can figure out what you want. Do you want to build underground bases or high up to the sky limit? Do you want to follow the physics of the real world by using plenty of support pillars or do you like minecraft physics? Medieval, modern. futuristic, dystopian, steampunk, otherworldly, etc. How would you describe your theme? How big do you want this to be? What colours do you want to use here?
Actually it should be a Cyberpunk-ish Build with black and cyan/light blue accents. I want it to be build into the mountain im on right now and have the whole facility inside with a few balcony thingys. It should be expandable at all times. I have so many cool pictures in my head but im really bad at copying them into the game. That's my problem
i like doing ascetic builds myself actually good fun, im more of a castle person but if you hve ztones take a look at those as they ave nice textures
Cyberpunk is a good idea. Here is an example you could try to imitate. I think it would look great. Straight lines, modern look and plenty of glass to open up the different floors.
People will respond better to you build and you yourself will feel better in the base (or "home") when: 1. It is believable. Meaning it respects normal rules of life and human architecture and fits the area where it is located. For example you don't have to climb 10 blocks high ladder whenever you are going to collect cotton to you garden. Or do have storage area near a place where you usually craft. Or that you have separate cooking and metal working areas. 2. The base has a some level of underlying "story". Cypherpunk...narco nest. Steampunk....inventor'.s home. Medieval....smelter. Roman...temple Arctic...research base. Sci-fi base expecting (or being under) zombie attack. Desert base beaten by sandstorm. This directs you towards certain consistency in your base building, for example not mixing Roman temple with modern TV tower. And makes you decorate the buildings: dirty factory building, old houses with holes, cobwebs and poop on the floor, rich houses with carpets, lanterns, candles and porches. By the way this is Minecraft, or better say Yourcraft. You can build anything you want and ignore what I wrote. Just my two cents as you seemed to reach a point when you felt strange after connecting another machine with another pipe just to fulfill another quest, while spening time in 16x16 chunkloaded cobblestone cube with levels connected by ladders. Kinda sucks, right? Happened to me before and that's when I started to be interested much more in building aspects of Minecraft. So hope this helps and good luck. Lach
The only time when i actually take time to build nice things is when minecraft is not laggy and i can build without having 2fps everytime i open my inventory
i have a better pc, just not on me since im at my nans. Also not everyone has money to spend on lavish things
So this is what i came up with until now. The outside needs some serious polishment and inside im thinking of a few more cyan ornaments and a place where colored elevaters will be because who does use stairs in minecraft
I do aswell. bad thing i chiseld them and normally the concrete increase the speed but if chiseld they wont so its like speeding up and breaking again
