Good night, Two times I've lost my whole armour set by teleporting between dimentions. Is there something I can do so that this doesn't happen? Thank you.
I was unable to replicate it, my home was in a nether dungeon that spawned many mobs, so I'm starting to think there's actually a mob that "eats" armour :|
I just logged on today and noticed my armor was missing too. I had the armor kit armor and was flying around the farm world, TP'd home and logged off for the night. Didn;t notice it was gone before going home at all. All teleports have been with /home so far
just noticed that mine is gone too, although I dont know exactly when. I've been using /home and the mym portal.
It seems really random. I have been wearing the same invar piece for the past 24 hours and it has stayed through crashes server restarts dimension teleports relogs.
I personally have not seen any of my armour disappear and I've traveled between dimensions frequently.
I think I figured it out. I don't think the armor is disappearing I believe it is Dying. the Hook Horrors found in dungeons and underground absolutely melt armor near instantly. I sat by one and my obsidian armor I made to test died in about 2 seconds. (Opened my inventory and watched the Durability drop to 0)
Can confirm this, its definitly the hook horrors. Its an "intended feature" of theirs to totally rend normal armor almost instantly. Armor which uses RF instead of durability should be safe against them (so just wyvern or Draconic in this pack). Enchanting other armor does help a lot with it lasting a lot longer against them (enough to withstand a few errant hits, rather than almost immediately being destroyed)
